I've been on a real Final Fantasy kick lately and I didn't feel like coloring one of the other Yuffie picks I have queued up to do. So I took some time out to do Aerith/Zack since I really like this lineart when I came across it.

Aerith's dress was a huge huge pain in my ass and I left it like this and didn't want to mess with it any more. I was much more content to focus on doing a good job on Zack's clothes (which I think I nailed). I probably spent a quarter of the time messing with his pauldrons compared to her dress, and I think the pauldrons came out 100 times better.

It's official, I'm unimaginative when it comes to backgrounds. I used to leave it blank, but I think it's just a little nicer with something there. I wanted to find a stock photo of cathedral columns and put it behind them, but after tinkering with about three different pics, I canned the idea because it wasn't working. So I guess you're all stuck with lame gradients unless you can give me some tips on more inventive background creation that requires no drawing skills.

Took me around four-ish hours this time. I should have gone to bed about three hours ago. It's going to be a long day tomorrow, ugh.
