So on the suggestion that SOMEONE should color it, the original artist prodded me to give it a shot. Well, considering that I've never colored anything before and consider myself pretty artistically inept, I didn't have high expections.

But after I started doing it, I realized, my god, it actually didn't suck. Better than that, I think it turned out pretty good!

Painted it in Photoshop, with a mouse (since I don't have a tablet:
*Cranked up the contrast to make the original lines more visible, which helped me GREATLY to shade it when the time came.
*Usually worked in three layers, a mid tone, highlight and shade in different layers, then would merge them and use the smudge tool to help take some of the rough edge off and blend the colors together a bit.
*Took the burn tool to some of it to darken it up, especially the crimson overshirt since it came out too light when I first did it. I also burned over a bit of the hair that turned out too light.

All in all, a succesful project.
I think the best part is the back end of that ponytail down there. Everything turned out great in that area.
The worst part has to be her left boob, which didn't shade right and then I think I smudged it too much leaving it blurry. But eh, I didn't go back to fix it since it wasn't that big of a deal.

Took about 3 1/2 hours, some leftover tacos, and a can of root beer to finish. And a small break to brag to my artistic brother about how well it was turning out.

I've challenged him to paint the same picture and try to make it better than mine. I'm giving him a week, and he was happy to have mine first so that he could compare his during work. I'm looking forward to seeing what he turns up.
