I'm failing from practically step 2...

I am just not getting the same look you are once I put the white gradient in... And when I use linear gradients I stop looking like your example from the minute I put the gradient down. So I used Radial and it looked like it more, but like I said, once I put the white layer on overlay and duplicate it once it just doesn't look close...

Use the radial not linear

Have a picture to refer me to? Its possible with your version of photoshop the overlay is different.

So, use the radial option with the gradient tool in a new layer. In this new layer, go to the options and set it to overlay. (the overlay is under the layer options. Don't use the gradient overlay option.) Sorry, not sure if this helps at all. I will do better with a picture.

can i have permission to post this in sigresource.com? link back to your DA? and credits to you ofcourse?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Superiorgamer In reply to drift-Angel [2008-11-12 03:22:44 +0000 UTC]

bleh... does it have to be "sig"resource? .. i'm not much one for sigs cause i've seen so many people with great potential never go beyond making what are literally worthless graphics...well maybe not for learning purposes at best. However, sure go ahead. Just please no labels of your own on the tutorial. The raw image on here is what I would want on the site.

don't worry i don't edit any tutorials i take permission for and the site is all about graphics not just sigs and thanks for giving me permission!

Superiorgamer In reply to shaiyd [2007-08-26 20:31:20 +0000 UTC]

i did wat it says but when i expand it, it dosent show up white evn tho i have it one white and the line thingys r moving around it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Superiorgamer In reply to shaiyd [2007-08-24 16:27:51 +0000 UTC]

thats cause it exspands at to a point so small you can't see it with the selection, but trust me, its there.

shaiyd [2007-08-24 05:17:31 +0000 UTC]

sorry for being a pest but wen i go to modify and make the white ring around the orb it dosent work, "modify" is inclickable

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Superiorgamer In reply to shaiyd [2007-08-24 05:50:04 +0000 UTC]

Your selection still has to be there. You have to keep the selection (the little lines moving around the circle) in order for you to be able to use the modify tab.

Superiorgamer In reply to shaiyd [2007-08-23 20:01:29 +0000 UTC]

its called masking. You hold alt and click between the to layers. Let me know if you have any more problems
