When using my tutorials or techniques explained in my tutorials all I need is that you say or write "Inspired by Talty" somewhere on the description, that's all I'm asking for. A link back to my gallery or tutorial is appreciated, but not necessary. You can make anything in my tutorials for personal or commercial purposes (yes, that means you can sell what you make) but you can't claim these techniques as your own. No redistribution, reposting or repacking of my tutorials, images, text or any part of them is allowed. They can't be translated to other languages without my permission (ask me about it). FREE TUTORIAL, NEVER TRY TO SELL IT.

Sorry for the extremely large file! I swear, it seems like my tutorials keep getting bigger and bigger...

~thinkpastel had a wonderful idea and used circle templates (the kind used for drafting) instead of the washer! [link] She says that she can work any scale up to 1:4, so you can try that too!

I finally finished this tutorial! It feels like it took me forever

I hope this is understandable I added many photos and less text, it seemed like a good idea but now I'm not sure... maybe I didn't explain enough

I think it's implicit, but anyway: the measures I gave are only for reference! Don't feel restrained by my instructions - use a washer of any size you want! Also, I don't have cutters (yet) but use any cutter you want and make plates with beautiful shapes!

Please show me what you can do using this tutorial! I would really really love to see your plates with or without food Go crazy!

I've kinda lost the packaging with the oven temperature and baking time for my clay...o.o Mind telling me the Sculpy's oven temp and baking time? It's on the packet somewhere...I really like this tutorial and I wanna have a go~

Talty In reply to beka-azami [2011-12-30 16:47:26 +0000 UTC]

If you're using Sculpey III, it's 130Β°C (275Β°F) for 15 minutes per 4 mm thickness. Plates are quite thin, so 15 minutes should be enough

I hope you can find the chance to try it, and please let me see your result!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Talty In reply to expkeyblademaster [2011-11-14 15:12:04 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, and good luck at your project! They're just regular washers, the simplest and most common kind. You buy them in any hardware store, I've also found them in the hardware section of supermarkets.

Talty In reply to OreoStripePanda [2011-08-21 16:43:46 +0000 UTC]

You are welcome, thank you for reading it!

What brand are you using? Baking times and temperatures change from brand to brand. If you are using Sculpey III as me, you bake it at 275Β°C for 15 minutes for each 4 mm of clay. This plates are so thin that 15 minutes is enough, but for thicker pieces you have to adjust the time

Oh my gosh i wish i could make Those and all of your other Clay things But they are to small and i dont have a place to put them and i dont have the materials Plus!! My Parents would never let me do this if i asked.....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Talty In reply to ApplexButter [2011-08-07 15:50:14 +0000 UTC]

That's too bad! You can start with little materials if you are interested, it's not too expensive to begin... and well, you can work the scale to anything you want, I like to make small things but you can make them any size you want. It's a fun hobby and very satisfying, so I hope that you can still find a way to try it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ApplexButter In reply to Talty [2011-08-08 03:44:35 +0000 UTC]

I haven't tried to make anything like this yet, but I just wanted to say it's a great tutorial, very clear and very easy to understand and follow. You shouldn't worry about not explaining or there being too many photos, at least in my opinion you did great! Keep up the good... no, GREAT work!

P.S.: Even though you say the pattern on the plate isn't very good, I think it's much better than you want to admit.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Talty In reply to Geliraden [2011-05-25 06:52:44 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much! I appreciate the comment and the feedback for my future tutorials, I've been told that having a lot of photos does help and is more pleasant to read so I guess I'll keep this format!

And well I don't like the pattern too much because I had an awesome ideal in my mind and it didn't turn out that way so I never quite liked it. Still, thank you for the compliment I guess it's not that bad, but it's not what I was planing
