Description
With the release of Pokemon Black and White about a week and a half ago (and playing White nonstop) i've been wanting to draw more 5th generation Pokemon in a realistic style. So here's one I did of one of my new favorites, Archeops. I just love the design of this little guy and how he resembles the real animal archeopteryx. I decided to draw it hunting a Venipede (Don't worry, no Venipedes were harmed in the making of this drawing) which is another one of my new favorites. Archeops is deffinitly my new favorite pokemon mostly due to how over powered it is sure its defense is crap but if you can kill something before it hits you who needs defense. I still have a friend that swears Tortoga is better but I know hes wrong.

This is simply amazing o.O It is so detailed and realistic. No words can describe how perfect this is ^ ^ The texture of the feathers and scales really make it come to life. Its so beautiful and vibrant. Not to mention that archeops is an awesome pokemon

This drawing looks like it could be placed in a real dinosaur book. Absolutely love the colors and shading.

The level of detail in this piece is incredible. From his scales to his feathers and even his tiny little teeth, you have really made this Archeops (a favorite of mine as well) come alive. The added shadow from an above branch adds another nice touch of realism as well. Realism aside, the colors themselves are just beautiful beautiful as well. If it weren't for the fact that it's a pokemon, I could see this being in a book on dinosaurs. Bravissimo!

Amazing! It looks so real! The feathers are so beautiful, yet it still has the strong, scaly reptilian head. Well done!

Realism + Pokemon = awesome!
Quick suggestion though, some of the colors are a bit too bright for a prehistoric theme. I'd suggest using earth-tone colors like browns to mute some of the overly vivid colors and to give it a bit more natural prehistoric look.
Overall, this is an awesome piece!

Sweet! Awesome. I love pokemon (playing white as I comment) and Dinosaurs. I love me some dino-birds! Great job. A perfect realistic version! Personaly I dislike the colours Gamefreak designed it with, but you can't have everything. I named my (Female) Mei. After the dino bird Mei long. (sleeping dragon) The babys I hatched were so valuble in GTS trades!
