I just do not get Blender. Have 6.2 and it creeps the shit out of me.
But people who are smart enough to understand the program will be very happy about this, I think.

Yeah, 2.49b is best for modding, 2.6 is best for rendering.

Blender is for rendering, too?
Where to find 2.49? I just found 2.6.
But I doubt to understand it, anyway. Well, at least I can try. I needed ages to understand how to mod in XPS. I think Blender will take even longer, but, darn, it seems to have so much more possibilities.
The thing I want to do the most is slitting characters in a half. Upper and lower body. Doesn't work in XPS, cause the body parts are totally randomly attached and stuff. I hope this works in Blender.

I used to be like you, I tried and kept installing a million versions of Blender cause I wasn't sure which one to use.

But Blender has a LOT of features, but you'll only need to use 25% of them too.

Here's Blender 2.49b.

Do you know your operating system? Ex; Windows, Linux, OSX etc. Just choose the operating system then the .exe DL

You will need the scripts for importing/exporting .ascii's:

[link]

C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts

Is where you will place the two scripts.

Python 2.62 is required to run them so DL it here.

Just as Blender DL it by your operating system.

That's it!

Seems like something is missing from the topmost image. Your progress bar shows you're copying something but you don't say anything about that. What command/script copy you used there? It's the most important thing and I'm stuck in that part.
