With this tutorial I just copied my render techniques over to 2.6.

Well when i go over to the textures tab there is no second normal map

I will upload a pic if you don't know what i mean so you can see.

I know whatcha' mean! I originally had made a mod of Classic Lara from 2013 to render for this tut and it didn't have doubles. Just apply the same normal map settings for the original and you should be fine.
