It's all good and nice... but the real mystery is, how does one *make* a model work as a screen? I tried to load the default stage into PMDE, and the material that serves as a screen surface does not seem to have any qualities that would distinguish it from others.

It may be worth mentioning that depending on the way the screen accessory is UV mapped, only a part of the movie frame will be visible. Basically, the canvas of the movie frame is redimensioned to the size of screen.bmp used in a model, and if the actual screen surface only uses a part of that screen.bmp, the respective fragment of the movie is shown. So, if it is important to you to see the movie on your screen exactly as it is, you may need to check if the mapping of the accessory you want to use for it is correct, and remap it if necessary.

You should point out that one should not violate any copyright with the InScreen videos.
I was banned from Vimeo because of my "Overall Konko" video even though I have offered to remove it immediately.
You can not post content from the TV, Internet or cinema in his own videos or pictures to include.
For the convert the video to InScreen Videos Is the "Prism Video Converter" from NCH software better.

Actually, under certain circumstances you can use copyrighted materials even without direct consent under US Law. Ownership of a copyright does not give the copyright owner all rights, just some rights.
I use the converter shown because it'll convert almost anything to anything else, but people should just choose the best converter that suits their needs. They're all pretty much the same.

I have something I can add to this: I noticed that even with the right codec I cannot load background AVIs into MMD 8.09. However, if I load them into 7.39, save the file, and open it in 8.09, the background AVI works!! Thought you'd want to know.

Yeah, MMD can be bizarre at time. BTW, why don't you just upgrade to 9.10?

I just get mine from here:Β www.geocities.jp/higuchuu4/indβ¦
That's the VPVP site and I've never had any issues or virus reports from that site.
