I got banned from reporting because I reported to many art thieves and other such violations of the rulesWow. So much attention lately! Thanks everyone!

So, dA admins always tell us to block and report.
So, how come when we actually do that, we get banned from doing that action?

I hate it when DA admins are like "use the block option" or "hide their comments" and all that shit. Can't they see that blocking them isn't enough?! We want them gone so that they don't bother ANYONE ever again. I know at least 2 trollers here on DA that messed with hundreds of groups, but you know what the admins said when we reported them? "Just Block them." Not to offend them, but are they seriously THAT lazy to get rid of trollers themselves?!

I've gotten that response from them so many times from them.
This guy is making harmful comments encouraging self-harm to people who're recovering from attempted suicides! Just block them.
This guy is encouraging violence against minorities, a very large breach of your rules! Just block them.
This guy is stealing work from this website and claiming it as their own! Just block them.
The sad thing is, only the last one of those three was made up. Rant all you want. It's better to get these things out. Fuel the rebellion and all!

It's even worse that they're banning people from actually reporting violations. They're too lazy to actually sack the people we're reporting, but they can get off their asses enough to block us from following their policies?!?!
DA is a great place and all, but I'd prefer it if those admins actually do their promised responsibilities rather than parade all their authority and "Premium member 'till hell freezes over" accounts and cover up their laziness with DA meetings and "we improved some shit that didn't need improving/actually just worsened things".

a friend of mine was also banned for reporting about a few dozen people who were obviously underage around two summers ago. Apparently they don't want to lose the hordes of subscribers with their "edgy" anime recolors or other crappy OCs with emo song lyrics written somewhere on them.

I'm making a difference between art theft and copyright infringement,
between stealing art and claiming it you own and using a google image picture as a background
reportfags are people who will report your gallery until you get them the written permission to use a worldwide corporation material, because they don't like it and don't call it "art"

I disagree. There was still one person responsible for the artwork and they deserve to be protected just as much as a small time dA artist.
It's not art when someone uploads a demotivational.
It's not art when someone takes a fully done background image from a t.v. series and then copy pastes something quickly on to it that they didn't do.
If you upload something without permission on dA, you ARE claiming you made it. Simple as that, it's a form of copyright infringement. Upload it to a private blog instead.

But that doesn't work for screenshots. Besides, why should anyone put screenshots and other things up here on deviantART, which is supposed to showcase ones OWN art. Not the art of others.
If you privatized your blog it wouldn't have happened most likely. Actually, if you upload things that could be copyright infringement to tinypic anonymously and then merely use HTML in your blog then there's really nothing to report you for as an individual.

the problem is that aggressive people are freakin out newfags and harassing people for minor infringements
