Me ha sido muy muy útil! Muchísimas gracias! Elegir los colores es una de las cosas más dificiles a la hora de colorear, así que tu tutorial me ha sido de gran ayuda!

Ahhh! I still don't understand colour, haha XD I just can't understand how light affects the colour of objects... I don't know how to predict what colour it will be (for example, if you had an orange, and it was in a dark blue-lighted room, what colour would the orange be then?). I'm not sure why I find it so hard to figure out O.o

vandervals In reply to Gashu-Monsata [2011-05-30 16:49:18 +0000 UTC]
Provably some kind of dark gray purple?
If you find it dificult to predict then just try some colors and your mind will tell you the one that feets better
Did you read my dragon tutorial as well? In there I talk about that a little more.

Okay, I'll go check that one out! I am just about to try using Photoshop's other colour menu though like you said in this tutorial, see how I do with that. Thanks so much for this!

Well, I managed to come up with this after reading your tut (it was really helpful ), but it doesn't seem to "come together"... I'm not really sure what to do with it
[link] It's not finished, it was mainly just to practice colour

I think foreground needs brighter and darker colors and mountains from bg should fade more and be bluer, do you think you could quicly change that and update so I can see if it looks better?

Gashu-Monsata In reply to vandervals [2011-05-30 20:39:48 +0000 UTC]
Okay, here is the updated version: [link] I think I ruined it more though, haha XD (Maan, I suck at colour!)

vandervals In reply to Gashu-Monsata [2011-05-30 20:48:14 +0000 UTC]
Nope, you did good. Now mountains have gone far away. What I think it needs now is to have purest green-yellow in the foreground, what do you think?

Gashu-Monsata In reply to vandervals [2011-05-30 21:04:00 +0000 UTC]
Okay, I added yellow/green to the foreground: [link]
I've had loads of helpful critique on this, I think I might also need to practice drawing individual objects such as trees before I tackle a whole picture (since trees are really hard, haha )

forget about individual objects, first you have to learn how to do the color scheme of a picture, I'll show you!

Really? Well, that makes sense, but when it comes to defining the objects in the picture, I really screw that up too

The scenery you created is really beautiful and the tutorial is great. I want to learn more about this subject and I'm glad I found your tutorial.
May I ask you a question? What brushes did you use and how big was the Photoshop file? Thanks again. Now I'm gonna have a look at your other tutorials.
