This tutorial is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this. I just recently was given a Dremel tool with a bunch of pieces...and I really want to use it. I really wanted to try to make a life size Bow but got intimidated, now that I actually get a good idea of how to go about it I think I will actually go for it. THANK YOU AGAIN! /watch

<33 God man I love you. XDD
I'm going to be making a keyblade today,
Ventus' Lost Memory.
I'll be sure to show you a final image of it.
But what kind of paint did you use? Craft?
Or did you use like... wood paint or something? (After the Gesso.)

Thanks! I've got some pics up here if you'd like to see it. ^_^
I'm doing some hand carving with a craft knife (and trying not to bleed all over it) and some hand sanding. Then I'll cover it in gesso and paint. Hopefully I'll be done by next week.

Thank you! My friend's been watching me, and she wants me to make her this fan-made keyblade for her Namine cosplay.
Any idea how I could possible do the vines? I mean, without killing myself in the process? XD

vvmasterdrfan In reply to RikuHikari-Neo [2011-07-09 05:09:48 +0000 UTC]
haha that is one complex keyblade. well i can tell you that you cannot use wood for this. Its possible and i could do it. its just. it would take MONTHS. AND I would have to be payed like at least 10 grand to do it. haha i would do it out of chipboard and exacto knife the shapes out. you can then fiberglass it and harden it. or you can try using bendable wires. maybe copper wiring and learn how to solder metal and stuff. there are a number of ways. but wood is definitely not the material here to use.

For sure. After making my keyblade I found it quite impossible to even look at this one. XDDD I'm good with a soldering gun, but I think I'll just tell my friend to make it herself. She's shooting for the same Fine Arts major I am. I made myself a keyblade, she can make herself one.

thats amazing im actually wanting to try and make real keyblades but with metal. amazing keyblades though ^^ do u take them to conventions?
š: 0 ā©: 1
vvmasterdrfan In reply to LucreciaTatsumotoSC1 [2011-04-30 20:21:42 +0000 UTC]
i do take them with me to conventions. i dont recommend making them from metal, as they get extremely heavy, and keyblade arent flat. if you made a 3 dimensional metal keyblade it would weight 50 lbs ><
and thanks! xD
