Ahadi is the second born prince of the Mountain Pride, second in line for the throne. As their mother died in childbirth, Mkaidi and Ahadi were raised by their father, a gruff, serious king who, while being a good father, also knew to be strict with his boys, and brought them up to follow the rules. While Mkaidi struggled with the hard laws laid down by their father, Ahadi took to it like a bird to flight, and he became as staunch and strict as their father. And even though Ahadi was bitter over his loss of the throne to his incompetent brother, he respected and accepted the rules put in place, and was devoted to the pride.
When Ahadi was already a young adult, his father struck up a deal with Mohatu, and Ahadi was betrothed to the Pridelands Princess, Uru. Ahadi knew of the strength this alliance could bring, and not having much of a choice either way, he accepted, and prepared himself to become a ruler. Once Uru came of age, Ahadi was already quite a bit older, and traveled quickly to the Pridelands to marry her. Upon first meeting her, Ahadi was convinced she was a lost cause when it came to rulers; she seemed too spoiled and reckless to make a fine queen, and she believed him to be too stubborn and stuck up. It took much time for the two to even tolerate one another, but in time Ahadi and Uru became closer, though there was no true love between them.
Ahadi, however, did find himself enjoying the Pridelands. Uru let him take over quite a bit of the reigns, and Ahadi felt he was able to 'fix' what the Pridelands lacked, whipping the pride into shape and bringing about great order. His rule seemed to be going very well, and with the expectation of their first litter, Ahadi was eager to start training their heir to the throne. When Uru returned with three cubs, Ahadi thought nothing of it, until she informed him of Taka and Haja's origin. Though he wasn't too keen on the idea, Ahadi agreed to keep the secret for Uru's sake, and raised the two alongside his son and heir, Mufasa.
Despite his bets efforts and his eventual care for the two, Ahadi could not ignore their lack of blood relation, and so at times kept them at a distance, especially as they aged and his sole focus became Mufasa. Without meaning to, Ahadi created a lasting rift between the siblings, and slowly but surely, the rest of the family. His patience grew thin from Mufasa, and as Taka piled on his anger, Ahadi snapped and revealed the truth of Taka and Haja's parentage to all three. The divide between Ahadi and Taka only grew and grew, and as Taka rebelled in his teenage years, Ahadi had less and less tolerance for his behavior. When Ahadi found that Taka was not only out all night, but spending time with hyenas, he lost it. In a fit of rage, Ahadi hit Taka, scarring him forever. In the aftermath Ahadi realized his mistake, but the damage was done.
After the impending dry season and the loss of Uru, Ahadi, once a great king, now found himself wearing down and slowly losing his control on the Pridelands. In his old age, he passed leadership onto Mufasa, now an adult, and Ahadi eventually passed away of old age before his grandson, Simba, was born.

And now for Ahadi! This is my personal take on him, and I quite like how he turned out! Drawing him was such a pain though, UGH, his mane was difficult to get right.
He's not really a fan character (obviously), just my version of the Ahadi from the SNA books. Hope you guys enjoy
