Mac OS X style system behaviour with not 3rd party program .
Macos X is a Mac OS X port for WIndows 7, made by idas = ZEUS osX. (Pavlos Pitselas).
Macos X for windows 7 is MADE IN GREECE (= Hellas).
Macos (1)word meaning : 'mecos'= length in ancient Athenian also Ionian language and in Byzantine and in nowdays Greek, and 'macos' in doric and aeolian ancient greek dialects and in nowdays tsaconian= spartan dialect that still speaken in some villages in southeastern Pelloponese[south Greece], where is my hometown, and also in Ancient Greek Macedonian and Aeolian Thessalian dialects.
On screenshot , down window there exist some of a portrait of Alexander the Great(=Alexandros) who unified all Hellenes=Greeks ie (Peloponisians , Thessalians , Macedonians, Athenians, Cretans etc ].
IN ancient and in nowdays Hellenic (=Greek) [Active CODE] language, every letter, and every word is a specific number, and it has a specific meaning.
ZEUS ( or DEUS or DIAS) is Master of immortal Gods in Hellenic (=Greek) Active CODE [arithmetic machine logic] language, and APPLE is the given gift from ZEUS .
So the name of the THEME choosen from Hellenic = GREEK language and civilization.

Macos X IS not just a theme. With new code added to Windows system files , Windows becomes behaving like Mac OS X .
When forinstance we select a folder as 'icon', we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text.
When we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text .
Main categories of visual styles: Transparent, Brushed, Gray.
Names and styles of Themes:
Dion,- 4 versions ---> transparent
Alexander, - 4 --> brushed
Leopard - 4 --> gray
in each style that has number I (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion I ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, and a designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number II (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion II ) --> no visible folderband, BUT with addressbar image,and NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number III (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion III) --> Visible folderband, and with addressbar image in eand NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
each style that has number IIII (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion IIII ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, BUT IT HAS some pseudo buttons in the place of addressbar so to look like MAC Finder, though its only design, without fuctionality as also the designed button at the corner of titlebar.
Also i use The Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger which makes the close,max,min buttons more close.
My work is based on the spirit of os X, and not a copy of it.
Many images are designed in a similar but not same way with original os X.
I use font bold style in many places that original os X use regular font style.
I made this project to work only to 96 dpi font size.
For this project i have spent thousands of hours, and perchaps it is first time in the history of Windows, that without any 3rd party programm or explorer replacement, we have a so much close to mac os X style approaching.
The theme will have some limitations in use, as i have not enough time to complete in the way i want, as i am too tired.
MAIN LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF USING
1. Be sure that in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display the Smaller - 100% categorie is checked . if there is not, check Smaller - 100% and restart.
Also do not change font size (leave it 96 dpi font size).
2. do not change border padings.
3. in the new themes there is no any taskbar problem.
4. for close distance between close,min,max buttons Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger needed.
5. for adding shadows effect around your Windows, needed the freeware controlable application YzShadow.

I N S T R U C T I O N S (32 BIT Version)
There are on this download, visual styles, there are forward and backwards buttons (ExplorerFrame.dll), imageres.dll, shell32.dll and explorer [=start button] for windows 7, 32 bit version and Themes and visual styles are used on all versions of windows 7.
BE CAREFULL THIS PACK IS ONLY FOR WINDOWS 7 - 32 BIT VERSION.
so : First do a restore poin to your system. Then :
UNZIP all files, using freeware 7z [link]
1. To use the visual styles ( mstyle) , you must install a small application, download from [link] .
Credits goes to Rafael Rivera for this amazing work. Then restart your system.
ALSO INSTEAD OF this, an alternative solution is to buy AveStyler application [link] and very ease you can change your visual styles .
2. Copy the folder 'OS X Cursors' , to C:\Windows\Cursors .
Copy the 'Mac os X Wallpapers' of this pack to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.
Copy the 'Mac os X sounds' of this pack to C:\Windows\Media .
3. Copy all the folders included in the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ,provided C is your Windows drive).
Open there ["C:\Windows\Resources\Themes"] and choose the theme name you like, select it, double clik tand thats it.
before replacing files go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart. do all your changes in code that u want. then again go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window to Default or to whatever u like, then restart.

a. Obtain Permisions and Ownership of ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll that located in C:\Windows\System32 and and do also the same for explorer that located in C:\Windows\ . (use the "Obtaining Permissions and ownership.txt" for help on installing, included in the downloading pack)
[ example of taking ownership to a random system file

b. Backup you original ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll and explorer by renaming them to ExplorerFrame.old, imageres.old, shell32.old and explorer.old
c. Copy ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll from this pack to C:\Windows\System32 and and explorer to C:\Windows .
[for the Alexandros and Dion Themes copy the ExplorerFrame.dll from the '1. buttons light blue HOVER ' folder, for the leopard copy the ExplorerFrame.dll from the '2. buttons gray HOVER' folder, of this pack.
d. Restart to see the changes.
4. Go to Desktop Personalize & apply the theme you preffer.
5. Download my latest visual styles/themes having mac style shadows arround the borders and many other mac style changes, so download Apple of Eris for windows 7 [link]

-1. For having to the left side the min, max, close buttons, use please leftsider. [link]
-2. For having close the min,max,close buttons an Ave's application needed CloseButtonChanger needed, (login to [link] ) , transparent and brushed styles will use number : 1.237 , leopard styles will use number : 1.45 .
-3. ADDING SHadows effect around your Window.
For having shadows and have better of the theme looking, please use YzShadow [link]

-5. I have visual styles with no looking Folderband [is the toolbar that it has Buttons Commands like 'Organise', 'System Properties' etc] and other with always appearing Folderband. For open the folderband to the styles that is not appeared, please have a look to my Auto-hide Folderband of win 7, [link] where is written SOLUTION FOR WINDOWS EXPLORER , MY COMPUTER WINDOW STYLE. / SOLUTION FOR WINDOWS EXPLORER , WHEN YOU HAVE DETAILS PANE AT THE TOP. etc
6. if you 'use check boxes to select items', and you select your folders as big icons,select with your mouse the text of the folder, not the folder and it will opened.

How to stop the music playing when you enter the Login Screen of window :
right clik to desktop/personalization/sounds select it , a small window appear, there is a small button and the text near by says : Play Window Start up Sound , deselect the button, thats it, restart.

MAKING SOME APPLICATION WHICH DOES NOT START WITH THE START OF WINDOWS, ENABLE TO START.
[ATTENTION, DO THIS ONLY IF YOU TRUST THOSE APPLICATION]
FOR leftsider, or Yz Shadow for example
For starting with windows start up , go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and select show hidden files and folders. then go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and add a shortcut of the leftsider or Yz Shadow
then go again go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and deselect show hidden files and folders.
(do the same for any other application, but only if you trust it, and does not automatically work with the start up of windows) [if you want also to uninstall an application , like leftsider and reinstall a new version of it, you have first go to "C:\Users\[enter your username here]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\" and delete the folder called "leftsider" = delete the folder with the name of the application , in this case current "leftsider".]

It's fine, I uninstalled the IDT Audio driver that was installed on the machine and forced Windows into installing their generic audio driver, and now the audio works fine.

I found a couple of bugs with the theme but they're only visual bugs and nothing major.. basically some of the arrow buttons (where you can expand or contract details) are inverted (green background, red arrow), along with some group bars (such as those in My Computer when the devices are grouped) having a green background when they're hovered over.
If you want, I can send you screenshots of the bugs, but seeing as though you've worked your arse off getting all of this done (which I honestly think you deserve huge props for), I won't bother you too much with it.

but before do them , do this:
my opinion is that windows system makes those green style effects, so for direct eliminate drag with the mouse the width or the height of the window, does them still appear or disappear ?
if they dissapear the problem becomes from windows and not my work, so you have to complain to microsoft and not to me.
but in microsoft because know the problem they make the buttoms with shapes of button arrows and colors that 'hide' those problems from users. in fact i make you showing the system 'as is', using [me] semitransparent arrows buttons and not compact color ones as microsoft do, and i have improove windows code so far, [adding new code lines <--- this has no affect with the arrows as the problem remain even if u use the original microsoft system files], so that i aproach as possible the amazing osx and i gave it to windows users, as gift from Greece.

[ofcourse some visual problems can be fixed :
go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting then select Appearance and Personalization , display aero effects as tranparency etc
to this area you can find the reason that aero mode is not looking as should.
follow any step there finaly u find the reason.
then select some of my themes to see if it weorks ok.
but i believe the problem u described is making by windows.
and its not the only one, windows taskbar need improovement, etc]

These two are bugs in the networking pop-up, however the green/red button is also applicable to the User Account Control pop-up (I can't take a screen shot of that though, since it's more than likely disabled) and there may be some other places where this bug occurs.

This bug seems to only occur when the items are arranged in groups, but otherwise this doesn't happen anywhere else.

exept the buttons what i see is that the bar was green, but the bar must be blue !!! look [link]
in your system the colors loooking different.
i dont know if go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\Appearance and Personalization works and make any better, after you must enable one of my themes, but i dont know if that helps you.
see also color depth, or go to start , search and writte 'calibrate display color' then follow the steps.

hey buddy thanks for this awesome theme! ive been using this theme for quite a while, now im trying to figure out how to change the back and forward buttons in explorer back to the original but i cant seem to make go back to normal. ive replaced explorer.exe, imageres.dll and shell32.dll back to the original ones and no luck. any help would be verymuch appreciated.

navigation buttons exist to explorerframe.dll
[explorer.exe --> start button
explorerframe.dll -> back and forward buttons + others
shell32.dll --> icons+control panel pictures + others
imageres.dll --> icons+log in screen + others]---->
so change also explorerframe.dll or go back via system restore.[saving your new data first.]

(sometimes the windows system 'holds' temporarily some folder icons the 'look' that they have before[so perchaps for some time even if you have changed the files you see mac style icons and microsoft ones to other files], so for eliminate this [which a windows characteristic 'function' and not of my files] do this :
personalize, display, shange from smaller to medium[125%] , log of [or restart] log in, then again personalize, display, change from medium to small[100%].
If not at once after sometime, the folders of your active system files should work.)

your link give me a deviant page with many preview 'works', and not an example, but i suppose that u mean to be closer the distances between designed buttons and backward and forward buttons, in some of the themes [those have the designed pseudo buttons],in closer distances, like safari or osx tiger.
i did those long distances as i follow more osx Finder's dimentions and colors and not safari's one.i could easily make shorter but for me this has no sense if there is no utility or application tha can 'sit' to those buttons for be fuctional, i first designed those buttons in vista because of a project of an aplication which would sit to the -area of- pseudo buttons , but in the mean while windows 7 came, code has changed, so i stoped working to that.
also now i am too tired and having some eyes problems, so this is propably my last major work for the world of windows.

congratulations on a job well done. I have one question though. I can't seem to be able to copy explorer.exe to the windows folder
everything else worked, i changed the permissions to the other dll works just fine. Only the explorer.exe is stubborn. I still get the windows orb instead of the mac sign. pls help

ok listen, as i have told you i am very tired and my eyes dont help me like in the past, so:
from what i remember styler toolbar is not working in windows 7.
many of the users do not understand this simple: customization in vista or on 7 has no relation with customization in xp.
in xp you can do anything, or many many things.
what i made here is out of fantasy for a system closed like windows 7, there is no any information, or book or guide, you must discover everything and you must be lucky.
about start menu see those solutions for your style [link] and also [link] or search more about.
there is some good grafic designers but i dont know if made theme for others, patrickgs [link] and giannisgx [link]

some specific microsoft updates make the uxcore utility [the small application that enables your system using 3rd party visual styles/themes , like mines] stop working.
now becarefull you have not reinstall.
if you do its possible the problem remained.
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.
now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
i hope then you have no problem.

No, sorry, it doesn't work. I tryed many themes, I got the universal theme patcher that seems to work, but anything worked.
Do you think that they are system files that I can replace manually to change minimize/maximize buttons? Or not.

there is nothing like universalthme patcher in program files, and there's nothing to uninstall in where you uninstall programs (sorry I don't find the good words to say).
nonetheless, I installed universal theme patcher.
i'll try to do it with uxcore.
And a little question about themes.
Do I have to copy for example the whole Leopard X theme file or everything separated?(I mean, put the leopard theme in C/windows/resource/theme, and then pick up the shellstyle.dll and put it in C/windows/resource/theme or the whole folder)

no ,not separate, you have to copy all FOLDERS included in the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' , SO first you unzip the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' , after with your mouse you select all folders , [ or just press to your keyboard CTRL + A ], then right clik to one of the selected folders , copy [they will all copied as we have before selected] and then paste to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ,provided C is your Windows drive).

you have to follow very carefull the instructions as many other users.[propably you have done something wrong to the replacing of system files, thats why can't log-on, you must not delete the original system files, just rename them as described to instructions, you should be carefull taking ownership of the original system files and follow very carefull the instructions as thousand other users which have no problem]

my work is based in osx.
i am not a copier of osx. i designe my images, since 2006 [see my gallery] and improoved my styles year after year.
if u want real mac get real mac.
this is osx style under my view, not apple's.

in this work here exist code lines made by me and giving alot of osx styling, like stripes, selected folders as icons in osx style etc
its not microsoft code, [like changing values to some parameters], its not osx code, its a personal work, that nowhere else exist or copied.
Reason was to make a style of osx for the world of windows, under the limitations of windows.

remember this:
microsoft i n windows 7 made some things [on purpose or in plant ? for ] not making the looking like osx.
classic example is the height of taskbar. if we use a similar to osx height, that means 22 pixels, icon) taskbar is unbelieveable not applicable!
That means that everytime you log in to your system, taskbar becomes bigger[than 22pixels], and you have manually do this:
right clik to taskbar, select Properties, Uncheck Use small icons, Resize your taskbar as possible small, then check Use small icons and that s it.
To my system[32 bit win 7 rtm] I do this, i set first small icons taskbar size on top of desktop, after i set before shut down, or log off etc the taskbar to the bottom , when i log in i set the taskbar to the top and works ok.
[ if you select instead of shutdown, 'sleep' or 'hybernate', the taskbar remains as is, no need to set it down]

that means its very very difficult to have original osx's dimentions, same with osx.
similar problems existed to windows explore corners, folderband, etc etc
to my work there is a good simulation to the heart of mac osx system, not the face, because of the difficulties in code.
there many very good graphic designers [and also much more copiers] out there in the web, the difference is the approach.
in design i am more close to a painter than to a graphic designer, and also in code analysis what i have made here just does not exist anywhere.

there is no styler toolbar like happened in xp.
there is acommand toolbar down from address bar and its called folderband.
styles with name AF X at the end, like Leopard AF X they have opened folder band so new users can very ease work with this commands, now if u want to use some other of the themes that have autohiding folderban you have to read my instruction section, Tips number 5

first of all , what i see is that you still use microsoft's aero visual stle /theme not one of mine, so:
first you must set , as i have written to my instructions,

.3. Copy all the folders included in the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ,provided C is your Windows drive).
...
so dpont copy the foldrer 'Macos X Themes' to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes , but the folders are inside to 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx', so select with your mouse all of those , copy and paste to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, so then if u select any of the themes your explorer look will changed.
also if u writte clik on desktop, personalise, then if u scroll with your mouse u will see the new themes appearing there. if not that mean you had not copy paste the files included to 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' folder to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.

ok, if i understood well, you want to see where is folderband in my visual styles/themes.
[folderband is a toolbar, under titlebar, under address bar, which has command buttons like organise etc]
i have described in my text here,

Subcategories: I have also added some styles, to any of the first categories, with always opened folderband and addressbar, and no button to the top right edge of the window.(at the end of the Name its written AX or AF X , for example Leopard AX or Leopard AF X )

so use themes that their name end to AF X like Leopard AF X etc, those have always opened foldrrband, for the rest go to my text where is written Tips number 5 --->

i dont understand exactly what do u mean.
as i see in your firdt picture you have allready change the system files, that means when you right clik to your explorer --> View > details , you will have white and blue stripes, ok?
now if you dont want having categories as windows by default using, but if you want to look your ecplorer more simple or more mac, like you saw in picture in which we have no categories but the hard dick drives are together with the cd/dvd devices etc do this right clik to your explorer --> Group by ----> (None)
but if u mean something other please reffer it, or design it to a screenshot.

what i see is microsoft aero, its not my theme.
as i see in screenshot system files have changed, though the theme you use its microsoft's aero, not mine.
if the start button look like original microsoft one , without any action by you [for example system restore], then all this behaviour became from some specific microsoft's updates.
explorer.exe --> start button
explorerframe.dll -> back and forward buttons + others
shell32.dll --> icons+control panel pictures + others
imageres.dll --> icons+log in screen + others

so you have to redone the proccess for explorer , go to C:\Windows\ . (use the "Obtaining Permissions and ownership.txt" ) rename it again to explorer.old or explorer.old1 or whatever and then copy paste mine to your C:\Windows\

also because of those updates, what usually happen is this : make the uxcore utility [the small application that enables your system using 3rd party visual styles/themes , like mines] stop working.
now becarefull you have not reinstall.
if you do its possible the problem remained.
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.
now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
i hope then you have no problem.
but if there is, tell me again.
