Description
My new version of Shadow the Hedgehog.For this version, I made him a hedgehog/wolf hybrid with a scruffier look and his clothes, gloves, and shoes are given a slight future militaristic look to him.

Nah, he's fairly far from being Vegeta-like. Shadow is leagues ahead of Sonic in terms of Power or Strength, but is slightly less than Sonic's equal in terms of speed without the Chaos Emeralds.

As you said making him a hedgehog/wolf hybrid? Seems perfect to avoid having resemblance to Sonic and not have the public eye confused.

I'm actually thinking of reversing this hybrid idea, but I'm not sure at the moment.

I can just picture in one of my films, is a Shadow the Hedgehog spin-off film based on the game. Black Doom comes into the picture.

Well in this one, Shadow actually is a semi-clone of Sonic. Sonic from the future, left behind some of his blood from a battle and Robotnik used that in combination with Black Doom's genetic material to make Shadow. That's why everyone mistakes Shadow for Sonic.

I can picture Super Shadow as something like Vegeta going Super Saiyan.

It's an easily understandable mistake here. Shadow looks identical to Sonic because of the whole clone thing and they're both fast. So people assume its sonic who just dyed his fur.

It does but not in the same way it was originally.
Well I'm reimagining a lot of stuff when it comes to Shadows origin. Robotnik's Space Colony Ark is his personal space laboratory and not part of the government, here he works on projects that are ethically or morally questionable on Earth. When his work hit a dead end, he received help from an alien named Blaak-Doohm who would provide science and genetic material from galaxies far away in return for helping him revive his dead species, with him being the last. Blaak-Doohm's DNA was too complex to replicate so Robotnik went to hybridization. Most subjects failed, but the turn around for the project came when two golden hedgehogs (Sonic and Shadow) appeared out of nowhere in the Ark fighting each other. Shadow injured Sonic and a cut made some of his blood spill on the floor and just as fast as they appeared they disappeared into time and space unknown. Robotnik saw the power of those two beings and with a sample from one of them he combined it with Blaak-Doohm's genetic material and some from a wolf to create a stable being who would later be known as Shadow.

Well there are cases of alternate universe exploration in this universe, but in this case, it was time travel that led to Shadow's creation. Two of the world's fastest beings with chaos energy surging in them makes breaking the space time continuum so much more possible than before.

Blaak-Doohm. That's honestly rather clever. I'm guessing that means that stable time-loop shenanigans are in play, and Sonic is (genetically) Shadow's father. You have no idea how bad of a laugh I'm suppressing.

Thanks, I thought it would be good to have that instead of the obviously evil sounding Black Doom. Yeah, Sonic kinda is like Shadow's father for this version, if he didn't have other genetic sources in him then they might be more closer to being like brothers. Glad to know I could bring some humor with this.
