I would suggest giving the ocean floor a blue or green hue. The ocean floor is never red or yellow because of the intense blue light. It makes the picture look less realistic.

I don't know. But it's sand, isn't it? I don't mean the deep ocean, I mean any kind of bottom, whether it's 10 meters or 100 meters deep. The floor should have their natural color tend towards blue in order to appear as if the light is actually being filtered by the water.

The tone in your example picture gives the impression that a submarine is shining a bright yellow light onto the ground.

It depends on light source and depth, so when it's not deep enough and light source is bright enough it does appear as it is. If you have been underwater within shore zone, you'd notice that it it retains color proportionally within direct light source. Check google. Or make your own tutorial~
