One question though; during the sketch-part, how do you usually remove all those lines you wont be using? Just erase 'em, or do you work on different layers?

I do sketches on one layer and remove things with the eraser

nice tutorial however for convenience i'd have anti-aliasing switched off on selections for clean edges, also use the pencil tool and not the brush.
