well, I honestly made this tutorial for people who have tablet, since nowadays it's essential if you want to draw digitally. no matter how good you are in controlling the mouse, you won't ever gain the pen pressure effect that tablets give. fortunately, they aren't as expensive as they were a few years ago and you can buy a good wacom tablet with a really cheap price

Not in my country, you can hardly get a Wacom. But I saw an offert on internet and I'm already saving money... Though I'm not sure I want to spend 380 pesos on a hoobbie. Is it worth?

well, every wacom is worth its price, I assure you. no other tablets are as good as the worst wacoms, and I experienced the difference myself. you don't need any big workspace, the smallest one would be enough for the beginning - and cheaper. wacom bamboos are great, but if you find a used wacom graphire or even wacom volito (the cheapest and the "worse") - don't hesitate

I haven't actually looked at the tutorial yet myself, but I would say yeah you can
It's just harder to get the subtlety with a mouse that you can achieve with a tablet. But I only recently got a tablet and struggled on just fine for years with only a mouse 'p
You can do some great things just using the 'fade' options in the brush window (in Photoshop CS2 at least, not sure about others), anything that you would set to 'pen pressure' etc with a tablet, you can generally set to 'fade' and set how long it takes to fade. Great for creating varying line width to simulate real pen/brush strokes. It's also good for opacity and that sort of thing when you're coloring.
Hmm, probably the hardest thing is if you want to do line work with a mouse, getting it smooth and 'fluid' takes a bit of practice.
I don't know, have a go!
Good luck and have fun.

I know, only non-unsteady handed people can make fluid strokes with the mouse... and i'm not one of those
Anyway, I'm in the PRACTICEPRACTICEPRACTICEPRACTICE stage... I think i'll try this out when i have more experience
Thanks!

Yeah I guess, actually I'm not one of those either.
One thing I think I used to do which kinda helped, was to zoom out so the 'distance' you're trying to draw a smooth line isn't so great... not ideal of course, but useful sometimes. Actually it's still useful even with a tablet (so what am I saying, I do still do it, just without thinking I guess).
Practice is always good! I don't think as an artist you can ever reach a point where you can't get any better and you've 'finally made it'. You know, there's always something new you can learn/improve/try out. I guess that's what makes art something you can keep doing all your life, so long as you're open to new things Also what makes art so fun... and frustrating at times haha
Anyway, good luck! Oh and my pleasure

if you still want the preview, change your file to a .gif and re upload. then itll require the preview that you wanted to use, because you need previews for gifs over 150x150pixels!
