:gasp: ...h-Holy crud, you are an amazing artist! I am a GIMP user and without a tablet as of yet, but I will definitely be taking these lessons to heart. I had no idea what masks did, but now I will give them a try! One thing, though: in step 3B, it's "definitely", not "definately".
In any case, great job, and congrats on the DD! ^^

Bravo , very nice tutorial, like you i use the pen tool to clean my lines and pout the flat colors , and sometime i even use the pen tool for coloring too , I'm not too good with airbrushing , I like the light the way it makes little dots on the trees and her skin.

This is really good but I will never be able to draw as well as this so I will hit myself on the head with a hammer over and over. :3

size doesn't matter that much if you're just starting, but even after years I don't want anything bigger than a5 wide. bamboo is a great tablet, I think it's the second best after intuos. you can do literally anything with it, so keep practicing!

The file isnt that big (well for me that is)
great explanation of your process of creating your works its pretty easy to follow for any beginner wanting to go a bit more advanced when it comes to colouring in such a way.
^_^ nice work! this is worthy of a DD simply because of that!~ so thanks a lot for spending your time doing this tutorial for us ^^
