Description
LARGE FILE PLEASE DOWNLOAD.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS KIND OF AN OLD TUTORIAL. MY METHODS ARE DIFFERENT NOW IN SOME ASPECTS.
Okay.. first off I'd like to really thank everybody who gave feedback on what they wanted in this tutorial. hence why whats in it is kinda random. This tutorial covers the basics of how to shade certain things using paint tool SAI.
Wow this took ages... i've been pretty busy so i did this over the course over a few days so i hope it all makes sense please forgive any typos :/

This is wonderful! You have no idea how hard it was for me to look for such detailed tutorials just like this one ;w; (though, on the other hand, at one point, you used to be a beginner in this type of thing too, emmarayt or whut? )
Nonetheless, id like to thank you for this wonderful blob you made!

Wow, amazing! * o * My eyes are burning from the awesomeness that this exudes xD
I'd like to ask though; is this all done on tablet? Do you think it'd be possible to replicate such effects using only mouse handled vectors?
Well, thanks for sharing this~

aww thankyou. yes it all with a tablet. well i think the shaded part would be a bit difficult, but im sure you can replicate it somewhat using mouse handled vectors

This is really helpful Thank you
I do have one question though: How do you color the hair, after you've done the skin? I usually use the magic wand to make sure I don't cross the lines, but since you've already crossed the lines when you colored the skin that's not possible.

Annabel-m In reply to Iduna-Haya [2014-03-20 00:54:25 +0000 UTC]
I usually keep the skin layer at the very bottom and the hair layer at the top. I just uncheck the view button on the skin layer so theirs no colour then I use the magic wand tool with the setting 'transparency (strict)' and select the area with that, then i just use the select tool to select any small areas that havent been selected. I fill the hair layer with the base colour then re-check the colour layers view button.

Thanks for you answer. That's basically the same method I use. I should've remembered that you can just uncheck the view button, haha. Good to know that I'm doing something right
