Description I've loved Descent games since I was a kid, and I've tried to create Descent related scene ever since I got my hands on my first 3d software. Making a ship and a tunnel isn't as easy as it sounds.

Once again, I turned the whole internet over to find good reference pics of the Material Defenders Pyro-GX, "Vertigo 1" ship.

Bumpmaps are just some pics found under 3dsmax's maps folder. The pipes are done with a Particle Spline script I found somewhere. Thanks for that goes to whoever wrote that script. It's awesome.

This is amazing!

I love the complexity of the Pyro-GX, and the tunnel itself is amazing. Though, the rockets on the fins of the Pyro look kinda funny.

Wonderful material work! I love the light rays, they add a nice touch!

The very first Descent will always be my favorite for the nostalgia factor, but I absolutely LOVE Freespace. <3 I've been wanting to do art from it for a very very long time.

Awesome Picture Apach3!

I love the tunnel, it's got that double-helix looking cable feel to it. I'm terrible at describing what I'm witnessing right now.

The ship is Incredible, maybe add some signs of wear and tear next time?

I will try to texture the ship, I too think it needs some damage marks all around.
But assigning mapping coordinates to objects just isn't as fun as it sounds
