Wow. thank you so, so, much! I'm a total newbie to illustrator, AKA the program that i, yes, chose over photoshop. I just wanna be unique.
I have a request: Could you please make a tutorial on how to make "dynamic" linework and on airbrushing in illustrator please? By dynamic, i mean, the pointy edges, the light texture, the layering and such?
I know, its a weird request, but I really think that this could help me, and many people.
I love these tutorials, and considering you are one of the only DArtists whos tutorials I actually understand, you rule.
P.S. thanks A LOT for the tutorial
P.P.S. This means a whole lot to me!

Your more than welcome but there was realy no effort at all. It took me no longer to make it that it takes to view it. It was ---- well it wasn't my best effort by any means. I was just trying to help answer a question.

did you learn everything yourself or have you been taught all this?

BarryKiddPhotography In reply to SJMX [2006-01-31 05:30:07 +0000 UTC]
For the most part Iām self taught. At least I am with modern graphics applications. I am however very weak where Illustrator is concerned.

photoshop i learnt myself bar a few tutorials from yourself where you either taught me a better way of doing something or clarified what i already knew and made me more confident. I was asked to do vectors for a magazine onces so i learn illustrator is about a day, i am still very new but im able to use the basics fine i feel.
if you dont mind me asking, do you have a purpose for photoshop such as a job or is it just purely your own free time and enjoyment?

Definitely happy I was wondering if you were still with us.
I already knew how to edit gradients in photoshop but I mostly just kept to one method which was the second (adjusting colour sliders and entering memorized value figures). Drop and drag swatches! That I haven't tried. Would've been really convinient to have known that while I was still working with corporate designing. Least I know it now thanks to you
Great to hear your voice again.

Thank you very much but I really don't feel so "awesome" I just feel tired. I remember that you wanted a tut on Photo menip as well but I have been a very busy bee and have just now started getting back in to the swing of the sight other than just lurking.

Nope I haven't forgotten. In fact I have a few requests and remember most all of them. Works has been a bugger though. Not really so many hours but I've been working swing shift and I just can't seem to sleep working all those different hours.
May seem like a simple thing but damn! Sleep is a forgotten luxury
