Description
Greetings citizens of the universe! I hope you all had a spectacular New Years and are hopefully sober enough to read this without passing out (I know your out there . . . somewhere . . .). That being said, I have decided to take a break from working on requests long enough to crank out a few personal projects of my own just to let you all know that I've still got it and don't need to take orders from anyone for every piece I make. So ring in the New Year, here's a new alien for you all!Believe it or not, this was actually a concept created by my younger cousin when I asked him if there was an OC alien of his that he wanted me to create - he's a fan of the Ben 10 series as well, largely thanks to me I suppose - and this is the resulting piece.
Onto the facts!
Name: Starscourge
Species: Dracost'lla
Homeworld: Supernovas
Powers/abilities: Starscourge is a cosmic being of incredible proportions, even being bigger than Way Big. He is fully capable of wrapping himself around the circumference of a planet if he were to choose so, though he is capable of shrinking down to a far more manageable size that of which is a little bigger than that of Humungousaur. Despite this, Starscourge is still very powerful and his strength and power grow with his size.
Dracost'lla are very flexible and agile when in their smaller forms, despite how big they still are.
Dracost'lla possess sharp claws and teeth.
Starscourge's main ability however, is to create stars from the elements around him. While he is fully capable of crafting full grown stars that are many times bigger than the planet he may be on, he prefers to make more condensed stars for battle purposes, like that of a dwarf star in a containment sphere. These dwarf stars are highly explosive and will detonate upon Starscourge's command, becoming more volatile and unstable the longer they wait to explode.
Dracost'lla can exhale a stream of fiery starfire from their mouths, creating a heat hot enough to melt bare rock with ease.
Starscourge is capable of flight by undulating his body back and forth in a serpentine motion, similar to that of a Paradise Flying Snake .
Starscourge has enhanced strength and durability.
Starscourge can survive out in the vacuum of space.
Dracost'lla have immeasurable lifespans on par with that of the Celestialsapiens. Their life expectancy is unknown, but it is rumored that they are capable of easily living for millions, if not billions of years.
Weaknesses: Starscourge is quite a large target, and this makes it quite difficult for him to fight in enclosed spaces or hide.
Dracost'lla are vulnerable to powerful magics. A number of spells have the ability to banish them from certain dimensions, upon which it would either take an equally powerful counterspell or a massive implosion of cosmic proportions on their part in order to rupture the barriers between universes. Furthermore, a few spells also have the power to seal them inside objects or bend them to a master's will, becoming little more than a dog on a leash.
Starscourge's main weakness however, is that he is quite simply too powerful for Ben to use on a regular basis. Unlike Alien X or Atomix, he's far too destructive to use in most areas for fear of causing massive amounts of collateral damage - far more than Ben usually creates - and endangering nearby innocents. Large spaces of open, empty land such as a desert are more acceptable but Starscourge must still keep his power levels down to a minimum in order to minimize damage; only in the vast expanses of space is he able to truly unleash the fully extent of his abilities.
Etymology: Starscourge's name is a portmanteau of the words "star" and "scourge".
Trivia: Starscourge's species name derives from the Latin words, "draco" and "stella", which mean "dragon" and "star", respectively.
Starscourge's design and concept is heavily based off of the League of Legends champion, Aurelion Sol .
It is unknown how Azmuth was able to acquire the DNA sample necessary to create Starscourge.
Much like how To'kustars are products of Cosmic Storms, Dracost'lla are speculated to be created in the resulting explosion of a supernova, when a star reaches the end of its life and finally collapses in on itself. Since they're formed from the leftover heavy elements created by the dying star, their weight is absolutely tremendous and they become heavier and heavier the smaller and more condensed they become.
Dracost'lla are among the oldest and most powerful organisms in the entire universe, said to have had their very essence born in the first breath of creation and their physical being molded by the delicate pseudopods of the Slimebiotes mere moments after the Celestialsapien's first, primitive ancestor had been crafted under their tender tutelage. Indeed, so ancient and mysterious are they that they are revered as little more than legends by a vast majority of the universe, although a few species have dedicated their entire existence to worshiping them.
Dracost'lla are an arrogant species by nature and virtually view themselves as gods, and rightfully so. Their nigh mythical status as the forgers of stars and solar systems have earned them a place as religious figureheads upon many an alien civilization who seek to earn their favor or avoid their wrath. This is mostly because Dracost'lla hold little respect any organic life that might have spawned as a result of their cosmic creations and consider them little more than bothersome flies who they may occasionally unleash their legendary power upon if they are bothered by them in some way. It is said that the only beings whom they would even consider treating as equals or even superiors are the Celestialsapiens, particularly those whose personalities are unified as one, such as Starbeard and Alien X .
Despite this tremendous hubris for themselves, they are deeply attached to the stars that they create, treating each one as if they were a child - and in a way, they are. Born and tenderly crafted from their very essence, every one of a Dracost'lla's stars is a part of their very being and they will viciously protect them from any who may seek to harm them. So great is their love for their creations that is said that upon death, that their glittering remains will become constellations whose position and alignment will never move, no matter how much the heavens may shift; seeing as how no witness has apparently lived long enough to witness this, this remains unconfirmed.
EDIT: Decided that Starscourge's previous look wasn't exactly worthy of an alien capable of crushing a galaxy in his palm as if it were something he did on a regular basis, so I made modifications. My little cousin adored the redesign and full approved the exchange. Enjoy!

Got some more Ben x Looma headcanons I'd love to hear your thoughts on.
Looma hate bullies. She doesnt see the point in picking on the weak who can't offer a fair battle or fight back. When Ben explained he was bullied as a kid she seriously considered beating up J.T. and Cash.
Both Bauman and Pakmar hate the two of them together as they both cause even more damage to their ships than just Ben did. They practically break into tears.
Since dating Looma, Ben has started using the proper names for his aliens species. The only ones he doesn't do that for are Shocksquatch and Walkatrouts species as he finds them too hard to pronounce.
Neither Ben nor Looma celebrate Valentines day as they both find it too mushy and soft. That being said, they might still take advantage of couples activities and discounts on stuff.
Thoughts?

I'm not sure about Looma's stance on bullying. It could be, like you suggested, that she sees it as a pointless en devour, but it could also be that her people believe that only the strong deserve to survive/live/rule. Personally, I think this one is a toss-up.
It's been officially stated that Mr. Bauman does, in fact, secretly like Ben - he just wishes that he would constantly cause destruction to his store every time Ben walks in through the door. I think in this case however, he'd hate Looma even more since Ben is only really destructive whenever villains decide to role around and Ben just happens to be in the area and transforms into his alien forms. Looma, on the other hand, is both a Tetramand and unaccustomed to most Earth structures, which are typically designed only for human or human-sized alien usage. Therefore, Bauman would probably hate Looma more than Ben, but be absolutely terrified if the two of them were to show up together, especially if a villain decides it's a lovely day to try and rob him.
Pakmar, of course, can't stand either of them and would personally prefer if they were on a planet on the opposite side of the galaxy from him. Then again, something tells me that even from that distance, Ben would somehow manage to unintentionally ruin his latest business.
I think it can be safely said that as Ben gets older, regardless of whatever canon he's in, he starts to use the species name of his aliens in everyday conversation. Of course, when specifically referring to his Omnitrix transformations, he would continue to refer to them by the names that he gave them, especially since he went to the trouble of inventing the Biomnitrix and coming up with names for the resulting fusions.
To be honest, Ben never really was much of a romantic, no matter what series he was in. Sure, he had relationships and could be very touching every now and again, but overall, he never tried to do anything overly romantic. Therefore, the Valentine's Day headcanon is pretty solid, though Looma might initially want to give it a try out of sheer curiosity before deciding that it's too sweet for her like. Of course, like you said, they would undoubtedly take advantage of the resulting discounts XD

An interesting idea I had for an AU would be that if the gems did exist in the same universe as Ben 10s aliens was the idea of the gems being created by the Galvans originally to be a kind of hard light servants and the Galvans never realized that Gems had sentience or emotions until it was too late.

I think it could work, though there would have to be some tweaking. Personally, I think the Gems' creators should be some kind of unknown/ancient alien race who, like the Galvan, didn't realize the sentience of their cretions until it was too late. It would certainly explain a number of things, such as where the Gems got their home world from and why they show such disdain for organic life, as they might've once been cruelly oppressed by their creators.
Funnily enough, the Galvan canonically suffered from a similar problem. Before their incredible intelligence was discovered, they were treated as little more than pets by alien species due to their diminutive size. Their downfall was exactly this, utilizing the Galvan's small stature to make them spies in order to discovered the technological secrets of their enemies - of course, the Galvan kept the best secrets for themselves and were thus able to create their own empire as a result. The only difference between them and this theoretical AU is that the Galvan decided to use their genius for peace (most of the time) while the Gems used theirs for war.

Here's an interesting idea: How do you think Ben x Looma would change if they met in the original series? Like Looma became stranded on Earth somehow.

Hmm, well, they'd probably get off on the wrong foot, as most encounters like this often do. Looma would probably be very aggressive and try to assert her rule over the Earth populace (or whatever humans she comes across), wrecking havoc in her conquest to conquer or find a means of returning home. Enter the Tennyson Trio, who decide that rampaging isn't a very nice thing to do - naturally, Ben would get Four Arms and, of course, believe that he'll be able to outmuscle Looma before she quickly proves him wrong. She might have a similar reaction to him like Tini did when she first met Ben/Four Arms before he times out and learns the whole Omnitrix story.
After that, it could go either one of two ways. Looma goes off and becomes a reoccurring character who does that are morally gray - for instance, stealing a nuclear reactor to power her ship in order to get home unwittingly threatening an entire town from the resulting meltdown - that the Tennyson family has to stop, with each encounter pushing her more towards a good alignment until she eventually joins the Tennysons, who promise to help her find a way home. Alternatively, she joins them on the spot.
In regards to Ben and Looma's relationship, Ben would very much be an immature, sexist ten-year old and probably be disgusted at the idea of having romantic feelings for her (in addition to being an alien). After a while though, they'd probably develop a moderate relationship after getting into all sorts of shenanigans together - Looma respects Ben's battle prowess and learns that being gentle isn't a sign of weakness while Ben learns some new moves from her and how to better assess and handle situations than 'punch it'. Eventually, it might come to a point where Looma develops romantic feelings for Ben and starts asking Gwen for tips on how to earn her cousin's affection (which would, of course, initially disgust her). Generally though, I think once the relationship actually begins, the three of them might become very close, like how Ben and Gwen practically become siblings by the time Alien Force roles around.
Of course, whenever the four of them are out in public, Looma would have to wear a spare ID Mask in order to conceal her true form.

Since we've talked so much about Ben x Looma, what do you think a Ben 10,000 version of Looma would be like? Like a version in the future where she marries Ben?

CreaturemasterProds In reply to ironlegionaire [2020-02-05 05:04:38 +0000 UTC]
Well, she'd undoubtedly be full-grown by then, so she'd absolutely dwarf her husband. All of their family photos have her carrying him on her shoulder, at least when they're posing. She started doing that after they were officially married - given how she outweighs her husband by several hundred pounds of sheer muscle, she was the one to hold him bridal style for their wedding photos (that being said, Ben went Four Arms to carry her home, as tradition) - and it just kind of became a tradition at one point. At first, Ben wasn't too happy, given he felt it wounded his pride a little bit, but he eventually stopped caring. After all, it makes his wife happy and if it makes her happy, then so much the better.
Appearance-wise, she'd probably wear a combination of future Earth fashion and royal Tetramand garb. Seeing as how a common attire in the future (from what little we've seen) is skin-tight jumpsuits and the like, she'd probably wear a leotard-shorts combo with gold-plated armor and helmet, a fur-lined cape, and maybe some other bits-and-bobs from the future. Of course, her wedding ring would be one such item and the clasp that holds her cape up/the design on the cape might be a combination of the Omnitrix symbol and the crest of the Red Wind family (she is royalty, after all. Which, by technicality, makes Ben royalty, too).
Since spending time learning about her husband's culture, Looma has become more . . . approachable. For instance, when it comes to negotiations and peace talks with other species, she's less likely to try to physically force or verbally threaten them into an unconditional surrender/ultimatum. Of course, that doesn't mean she won't consider the option if the species or empire in question is being unnecessarily difficult or if they don't listen to any other reason - when it comes to negotiations with the Appoplexians, for instance, they prefer to talk to Looma than Ben. While they admire his feats and skill, they respect Looma a little more, since she's more willing to turn everything into a fistfight. On another occasion, those two empires that Ben accidentally united together in a war against himself finally caught up to him and stubbornly refused to listen to reason or anything anyone had to say until Looma gave them an offer they couldn't refuse. Needless to say, they left Ben and the Earth well enough alone after that.
As we previously discussed, Looma would probably be someone who would want a lot of children and would always seem to be in some stage of pregnancy. Of course, being a Tetramand and being Looma, that doesn't stop her from still helping her husband from keeping the peace of maintaining the jointed empire of Earth and Khoros that she shares with Ben. In fact, in particularly bad situations or whenever he's just had enough of something, Ben will willingly turn his pregnant and incredibly moody wife on the problem in order to settle the matter. The day is saved and Looma vents her frustrations on something that isn't her husband; whenever its time for her to give birth, Ben turns into Diamondhead so that she'll be less likely to break his hand during the process (that only happened once, and he's learned his lesson ever since).
Parenting-wise, Looma would probably be a stern and protective mother, but also incredibly dotting on children. Unless they've proven her wrong, she'd probably be very controlling over who they're allowed to have as friends or who they play with, in some situations at least. She probably wouldn't mind if she knew or figured that her kid's playmates were too nice to take advantage of them, but certainly wouldn't let them develop a relationship like Kenny has with 'Uncle Argit' (even though it should be noted that that Ben 10,000 and Kai didn't approve of the relationship all that much either). On the other hand, she'd probably also shower them with constant affection and love, especially when they're really young and not quite ready to start fighting just yet.

I came up with some new Ben x Looma stuff.
One advantage to dating Looma is that she chases off paparazzi. The press personally reminds her of a species of pests found on Khoros and she takes great delight in scaring them away.
Looma gets along well with Max. Partially due to Tetramands having great respect for the elderly (they see living long as a sign of winning many battles and not dying) and because she enjoys his cooking.
When it comes to kids I actually see Looma as wanting a bunch. Plenty of young heirs, possible spairs, and little superheroes to carry on the family work.
Thoughts?

Sorry it took so long to reply to this (and your last two MH/EAH pairing challenges. I swear, I haven't forgotten about them, but coming up with workable concepts for them takes a lot of time). I've been busy as all hell.
I think Looma's beef with the press is both a pro and a con, which means it pretty much just adds to the relationship and makes it all the better. On one hand, it's shown that while Ben isn't afraid to show his face to the media, he no longer tries to unnecessarily glorify himself and most media people seem to respect them to one degree or another. On the other hand, there are those like Harangue who will take every opportunity to slander Ben's name and will pounce upon the slightest slip up or sign of aggression and then blow it out of proportion. If Looma attempted to chase off the paparazzi, Harangue would make it seem like a sign that Ben is bidding his time before he can take over the world or that he is the immature and highly dangerous teenager that he supposedly is.
Yes, this makes perfect sense. Not withstanding the fact that he would have to be a little more delicate when handling him, but there's also Grandpa Max's reputation as well - for the most part, humans are disregarded entirely by other alien species. The only two exceptions to this are Grandpa Max, who earned his through his exemplary work as a Plumber (not to mention his amazing cooking, at least among extraterrestrials), and Ben, for obvious reasons (though it could be argued that even then, Grandpa Max is held in much higher regard).
Yes, Looma is absolutely someone who would have twelve kids and still want more. She would practically be permanently pregnant and still be able to kick ass (perhaps even more effectively, given the inevitable mood swings).

Eh, I think it's somewhat questionable, given how their last meeting went. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that Gwen and Kevin were dating or if it was just because Gwen was trying to stop Looma from getting to Kevin, but something tells me that their relationship would be tense, to say the least. Sure, if circumstances forced them, they would probably work together and save each other's life, but I can't see them going out of their way to talk or hang out or anything like that.

I just thought of this, but on the subject of Gems invading Kinet, I realized another reason why a planet constantly covered in lightning storms and strikes might be a poor choice to build a colony-it would both cause interference with their tech and risk striking their injectors. I mean, if they can be damaged by hitting the ground, a lightning strike might cause some serious issues right? Or even poof gems who come to the planet? Because the only gem we’ve seen who has specified lightning immunity is Garnet and that’s only because she’s a fusion of gems with heat and cooling powers. I don’t know if regular gems would be unaffected by a lightning strike. That’s one of the reasons I also thought Anur Transyl would be a bad place for a gem colony, its also constantly thundery there, which is why the Transylians have those big electro metal things growing out of their bodies right?

It's still unknown whether large amounts of electricity could, in fact, poof or cause Gems to shatter. All that has been officially confirmed is that sufficient, blunt force trauma - such as falling off a cliff - or specifically designed weapons can do this, such as the Gem destablizer that can force a Gem to poof or unfuse. In the case of the later (as well as Yellow Diamond), it's never out right stated what kind of energy it is. For all intents and purposes, it could be pure electricity, or it could be a kind of energy that is completely unknown to Earth science. At the moment, it's really unclear what it is.
Even if this were the case, Gems have been shown to completely terraform planets in such a way that they are unrecognizable from their previous forms. All continents, oceans, and weather patterns they might have had would be completely changed, if not removed entirely, given how Gems don't need to breath and safely survive in a vacuum; they don't require an atmosphere, much less oxygen, which is a key ingredient in weather formation, such as thunder and lightning storms. It's been stated by Peridot that Home World itself has no concept of weather, as she was not only terrified of thunder, but was completely baffled by the concept of rain. Therefore, given Gems disdain towards other life, it could stand to reason that when Gems terraform a planet, they essentially turn it into a copy of Home World, harvesting all resources to the point that even the atmosphere is removed. After all, they don't need it to survive and if they can put it to use elsewhere, they will.
As for the Transylians, it's a bit complicated. According to official statements, the conductors that adult Transylians possess (children don't have them) are naturally occurring. This suggests that, like humans going through puberty, they are features that emerge as an individual gets older. While the evolutionary purpose has never been stated (however, it's likely it was a defensive measure against the predatory Vladats), it has been stated that Transylians are able to control lightning generated by the giant storms that plague their planet (even though such storms have never been seen).
TL;DR We have no concrete evidence on whether or not electricity, such as lightning would be harmful to Gems.

They'd probably be wary of any in-coming Gems and monitor whatever activity they might be up to - kind of like how they treat all aliens, really, making sure that while they're visiting that they're adhering to all the rules and regulations and what not - especially if they've made it clear that they're up to no good. In regards to the Crystal Gems, they'd probably be a lot friendlier and perhaps work together with them on certain matters, like how the Plumbers team up with the Secret Saturdays whenever there's cryptid related work; whenever anything Gem related is involved, the Crystal Gems are called in to give the Plumbers a hand.

I honestly don't know. I mean, it's been established that Gems have something analogous to DNA, since Steven actually exists, but I honestly can't give you a straight answer. Most people just do it because trying to think about it or fit it into the canon rules is too uchof a headache or doesn't give them a satisfactory answer.

That's essentially what the Gems are. I'm pretty sure you've seen Home World - not only does it look like it's barely held together when looking at from space, but every conceivable section of the planet's surface has Gem holes in them. We know that when Gems are created, they absorb all the nutrients and "good stuff" in the ground where they were planted before popping out and, by the time Steven Universe takes place, it is established that Home World is facing an energy crisis. Furthermore, Peridot has practically none of the Gem powers that older Gems like Pearl and Garnet display, such as shape-shifting or weapon creation, and is likely smaller than other Peridots before her are meant to be, given how she originally had limb enhancers to compensate for her 'disabilities'.
With this in mind, the Gems are likely an expansionist empire that look to only claim and conquer other planets in their name in order to get their hands on more resources and destroying anything or anyone that would put up a fight and try to stop them. For all we know, organic life is something that they (originally) found more useful dead, since that would put nutrients back into the soil, which they need in order to create more Gems and continue the expansion of their empire. The problem with this, of course, is that it never stops - they always need more resources to make more Gems and more Gems to find more resources. It's a vicious, never-ending cycle that's likely been going on for thousands, if not millions of years.

I've seen similar things and, I have to agree. I mean, Steven already has a lot of powers at his disposal - he really doesn't need any more (which is the same reason why I really don't like people giving Ben super edgy and powerful weapons or something like that. He can already turn into a god at will. What more power could he possibly need?) and it would certainly balance the power spectrum out a little more. That being said, it kind of downplays Connie's skills a little, since she's no longer just a regular human being that can wield a giant space sword while riding a magic lion.

I’m curious. I saw some the Ben 10 art you favorited and wondered, do you ship Ben and Looma redwind? And if so, do you have any interesting headcanons for the couple?

It's an interesting ship that I wish could've gotten explored more. It's made somewhat obvious throughout the show that Ben has trouble when it comes to romance, due to a combination of his obliviousness and his line of work, which more often than not frustrates any girlfriend he might have at the time (which, barring the accidental breakup, was one of the reasons why Ben and Julie's relationship ended, even if it was one of the better ones). Thus, it kind of makes sense for Ben to have a girlfriend who is more than happy to lend him a hand in fighting the forces of evil and, while Attea and Ester are certainly good options, the former is a bit too trigger-happy/self-centered to do so and the latter has her own responsibilities as the leader of her people.
One head-canon I do have is that, in Tetramand culture, the mother/wife of the family holds especial prominence and esteem in a household, due to their superior strength. This, combined with the absence of Looma's mother (suggesting she might possibly be dead), leads me to believe that if Ben and Looma were to pursue a relationship, she would basically treat Ben's mom as if she were a goddess, constantly bowing whenever she enters or leaves a room and basically holding her in higher regard than just about anyone else. Sandra, of course, is too nice of a person to take advantage of this when she doesn't need to.
Another head-canon I have is that Looma has a hard tie grasping concepts of human culture, and thus, invariably, causes a considerable amount of property damage wherever she goes. Tries to sit down at a table at Mr. Smoothy's? Breaks the seat? Tries to open a door? She rips it clear off its hinges. Since she comes from a very violent planet, it's difficult for her to understand that not every single aspect of human life (in fact, very little) involves intense combat and is actually rather fragile.
Looma is also very protective of Ben when she comes to realize this. While she knows he is a great warrior (having beaten her, of course), she greatly over-reacts whenever he hurt or nearly injured while in his human form. Say they're crossing the street and a driver isn't paying attention and doesn't stop - she'll obliterate the entire front of the car, tear the driver from his seat, and try to kill him for "attempting to assassinate my beloved" unless Ben stops her (which he obviously would).
Being a Tetramand, Looma likes to be very aggressive in everything that she does and believes there is no other proper way. She's quickly proven wrong when Ben is able to practically her to her knees with the gentlest of touches or the sweetest of kisses in just the right place - it's like he's strategically striking at her weak points, rather than charging her dead on, and she absolutely loves it, despite how embarrassing she thinks it is.

Yeah. I honestly see Tetramands as a matriarchal society and the only reason Looma’s dad is ruling is because her mom died. And your idea of Looma breaking stuff is similar to an idea that Tetramands make nearly everything they use out of infinitum because of their massive size and strength. I do like the idea of Ben helping Looma soften and adapt to a somewhat softer style of life. Although, I do imagine that when they’re...intimate, Ben is usually in alien form due to Tetramand intercourse being very rough due to their strength.

It would certainly make sense, given Gar's battle scars (he's blind in one eye and is missing an entire arm entirely). He's probably earned a few of them after defeating Looma's mother and potentially after whatever killed her (if it was something vicious and brutal, that is; for all we know, she could've died of disease or something).
I don't think they necessarily make everything out of infinitum. They're just very proficient when it comes to vehicles. After all, any car junkie will tell you that the best components or parts of a car are the ones that will not only perform the best, but last the longest as well - as important or cool as a part might be, it's not worth it if you have to replace it every month or so. Given how revered their engine blocks alone are, I think it's safe to say that the Tetramand take their love of vehicles (especially cars) very seriously.
While Ben would certainly go alien (probably Four Arms) when making love with Looma, I imagine he's just as proficient when human. Like I said, Tetramands are very basic and do everything hard-core - if there's a fort that they have to get into, they're going to brute-force it. Ben on the other hand, while human, is able to take advantage of this by slipping through her defenses and striking at her weakest points. Basically, if Looma is a fort, Ben going Four Arms is taking a battering ram attached to a tank to the front door while Ben in his human form is the spy/assassin that takes down the defenses from the inside out. He's able to get to places that he otherwise couldn't reach and it drives Looma wild (and not just from the sensations and feelings it brings either. Like I said, she's very much embarrassed by it).

If you’re interested I’ve got more interesting alien headcanons.
Tetramands practice polygamy. They see it as practical to have multiple partners in the case that that one of them ends up getting killed for one reason or another.
Splixsons are genetically speaking closer to moles then humans. They use their trowel like hands for farming and digging now places to plant their vegetables and grain. They’re workforce’s are usually made up of three or more, splicing and their clones.
Vulpimancers are sold as pets to other alien races. While they have the intelligence to build houses and get their own food, they like being part of a family and being provided food by others so they don’t have to struggle to find food. Thus, domesticated Vulpimancers are much more friendly and docile than wild ones.
Thep Khufans are a lot like jellyfish, with their headress like pieces containing their brains and organs and the rest of their physical bodies being shaped, regenerative tentacles that they use to capture prey and manipulate tools. Besides the Ectonurites, they’re the only other Anur System species to study mana and they have several schools and institutions devoted to the study of magic.
What do you think of those?

I agree with the Splixsons and Thep Khufans (especially Thep Khufan; that was my own headcanon for a while, too), but I can't say I really agree with the Tetramands on polygamy, since it was never mentioned with Looma (then again, that could for a variety of reasons, ranging from censors to not enough time to explain it). Maybe it's just that Gar decided not to remarry after Looma's mother passed away.
As for the Vulpimancers, I can't really agree with that. It would make more sense if Vulpimancers themselves 'hired' themselves out, per say, using their exceptional senses and ferocity to provide protection and security in exchange for food. Despite their savage nature, they aren't necessarily pets, and they probably wouldn't make very good ones either; miss one feeding, and they'll likely turn on their owners.

Here’s some more.
Much like To’kustars, Vaxasaurians are gentle giants. They use their strength and power to keep the peace on Terradino and only enter into battles to end fights rather than start them.
Loboans can talk, but much like Vulpimancers, they have a unique growl like language spoken only among their own kind. They often slip into it when wanting to have private conversations with other loboans or just very angry.
While Kineceleran wheels are naturally adhered to their feet, they also create skates that use the same type of rocks for visitors to their planet to give them the same speed as them and help them better fit into the accelerated life on kinet. Off world, the skates are a commodity among alien children and often used for fun and games.
Pyronites who leave their home planet usually wear a type of “flame shield” tech that protects others from their intense heat and keeps them from incinerating everything they touch. It’s easy to tell a pyronite whose a pyros native from one who was born on another planet. The ones who were brought up on pyros have far greater skill and control over their pyrokinetic powers and are often teachers to their non-native relatives.

Eh, I think, with the information that we have (which is not a lot, to be fair), the Vaxasaurian one might be a bit questionable. All we can really say is that they're currently the reigning sentient species on Terradino; we don't exactly know how Astrodactyl's species fit into this.
Given how it's been established that, among the Anur System species, Loboans are a bit more feral, this is pretty plausible, at least for the ones that strictly live on Luna Lobo. The ones that live on Anur Transyl are said to be much more civilized, so it stands to reason that there are at least two groups of Loboans: those that live in society and those that prefer a more primal way of living.
Not sure how the Kineceleran and Pyronite ones hold up though. They're interesting, nonetheless.

Do you have any more interesting alien species headcanons? Or Ben x Looma ones?

CreaturemasterProds In reply to ironlegionaire [2019-11-13 11:04:59 +0000 UTC]
In regards to alien species, not really. The only one I have left is regarding Transylians. Basically, when the Vladats were still around and ruled the Anur System, they attempted to further prevent any potential revolution by damaging the Transylian's on a genetic level, to the point where they became bio-mechanical beings that regularly had to replace body parts due to degradation. Of course, that didn't stop an uprising from happening, but the damage was done and now the Transylians are stuck with their misshapen forms.
As for Looma, I have a couple:
Looma ends up adopting a kitten. At first, she thinks nothing of it and shrugs it off as another "weak, Earth creature", until the kitten decides to bite her finger. Being a Tetramand and gifted with skin tough enough to withstand fire and explosions, Looma barely even feels it, but she grows attached to the kitten when she realizes that it was more than willing to try and attack her despite being severely outclassed in virtually every category imaginable. She admires its ferocity and how deceptive it can be, being an adorable kitten one minute and then a terrifying monster the next, all at the drop of a hat. As a bonus, this teaches her how to be more careful around Earthlings, since the kitten is very much fragile and could easily be killed by her if she even petted it too hard. Ben isn't much of a cat person, but he's not about to argue with something Looma has come to absolutely adore, especially if it keeps her from breaking everything she touches.
Being a warrior and having seen more than her fair share of combat and bloodshed, Looma is completely unphased by any type of horror movie. Slasher, monster, thriller, you name it, she isn't scared by it. She does however, have a love for historical films, particularly those that are based on wars; she's honestly surprised by how brutal humans have been throughout their history and views them in a much more respectful light than before (beforehand, she thought her husband-to-be was the only worthy human). She also has a mild interest in nature documentaries, as they not only depict a primal violence she hadn't yet encountered on Earth, but it let's her see places she hasn't been to yet. If there's one type of film she can't stand however, it's those that are specifically and directed aimed toward's younger audiences - like, early Disney level. Looma's actually downright terrified of them and finds it practically criminal when she learns that human youth are regularly exposed to this kind of media without any concern for their development. It secretly makes her admire (and fear) humans a little bit more.
Looma doesn't understand human expressions. She's completely baffled as to why humans will tell one another to "break a leg" and then be horrified when she actually tries to attempt to break someone's leg. In fact, Looma is confused by a lot of aspects of human culture, and thus, gets along very well with Rook. The two of them often share their personal experiences with one another, more so Rook giving Looma tips on how to adjust to life on Earth and how to avoid taking everything human's say literally; needless to say, Ben is more than thankful.
If there's one aspect of human culture that Looma has come to love, it's music - specifically Rock n' Roll and Death Metal. She and Ben share similar tastes, so it's at least one thing they can bond over. Whenever they go to concerts, they'll either end up in a situation where the only way for Ben to see (without transforming and drawing even more attention to himself) is to sit on Looma's shoulders (being comparatively short; Kevin, Rook, and even Gwen are taller than him) or find themselves in the mosh pit, which is Looma's favorite part of the concert. Granted, she has to keep her strength in check in order to avoid killing anyone, but she likes how she's allowed to be a little rougher than usual. And she gets to listen to her favorite music while doing it, too!
That all being said, Looma does have a small fondness for Mozart. Both she and Ben agree that it's not a particular favorite of theirs, but it helps them to relax after a long day of cracking skulls and putting the hurt on the bad guys; even Looma knows that a warrior will only perform at their best when they've gotten enough rest.
Being a Tetramand, Looma loves meat. While she's more than a little annoyed that most of the meat available to eat is processed and more than a little soft (she's greatly annoyed that she's not allowed to try and fight the Bellwood Zoo's elephants and rhinos to the death), she'll take what she can get so long as it comes with barbecue sauce. You know how Starfire from Teen Titans absolutely adores mustard, to the point of drinking it like a beverage? Yeah, that's Looma, but with barbecue sauce. Can't get enough of the stuff and it absolutely confounds Ben, even though he has a way of getting Looma to do certain things she would otherwise be hesitant to do; he's managed to pull the same trick with Rook and meatball subs, he figures it will work with Looma if he can get his hands on enough barbecue sauce.

I’ve got some interesting idea on Cannonbolts species.
I don’t think they were wiped out by the rick destroying their planet. I think they just booked it off world when it arrived. The reason they never tried using their powers against is...they never thought to do that. Arburians are a super defense oriented species. They don’t fight. They roll into balls and let their enemies wear themselves out. When they saw that wouldn’t work with the tick, they did the smart thing and fled.
Like Splixsons, Arburians are more like moles. They use their powerful spinning bodies to dig vast underground tunnels and cities. The reason their able to tell where things are when rolled up is so they don’t lose their way when digging. And Arburians are incredibly efficient diggers, carving out massive tunnels within hours. Whenever they meet some sort of threat in their tunnels, they either let it ware itself out or roll over it and get a meal.
As mentioned before, they aren’t naturally violent. They’re a rather calm and chill species due to their near invulnerability. Thus they never really use their abilities for combat or war.
I think Arburians are a subterranean species who live underground and thus, don’t have a great set of senses. They can hear fine, but their sense of sight isn’t the best compared to most other lifeforms. They much prefer to sense where things are when curled up then see things with their eyes since those senses are stronger.

I don't think the Arburian Pelarota dig with their shells, per say, given how smooth they are. But considering how they have long claws instead of fingers, I wouldn't be surprised if they used those for digging. All we can really say about Arburian society is that they use tunnels and tubes to get around.
But yeah, it would make sense that the Arburian Pelarota are a defensive species and only Ben was able to figure out how to use them for offensive purposes (makes Ultimate Cannonbolt make a lot more sense, when you think about it). It's been confirmed however, that at least some Arburians escaped their planet before its destruction and found refuge on Vulpin of all places, where they evolved to become the Vulpinic Tortugans.
I don't think the Arburians are necessarily a subterranean species, but I do agree that they're able to 'see' where they're going when rolling around by using the vibrations they feel as a sort of echolocation.
