This is a great tutorial. I only wish this was done 7 months ago when I first started CG-ing. I wouldn't have gone through so many mistakes and self-learning. =_= *goes to emo in a corner*

Ah, btw, may I ask what Hue/Saturation levels do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DejiNyucu In reply to bloo-chan [2005-08-19 13:22:55 +0000 UTC]

Hue/Saturation plays with the color of your stuff... for example, if you have a layer with the eyes colored there and you don't like them being, dunno... green, you go and play with the hue/saturation and change the color of them without needing to paint them again =3

I use levels when I clean my skecthes. I play with the arrows a bit to make the white more white and the dark parts more darker, and eliminate the middle tones... it's useful at least for that *nods*

may I ask how it is you get your shading and colors so...straight? I have trouble making it smooth..! plz help!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DejiNyucu In reply to fallen-nova [2005-07-14 16:43:59 +0000 UTC]

humm... if you pick the colors from a reference image and paint with a hard brush you shouldn't have any problem getting the colors look right... If you want a more soft and smooth effect, try using the blur tool afetr you're donde with the coloring
