Description
Writing 日本語 in Japanese: Lesson 3*edit*
I made a little mix up earlier. I put this lessons (lesson 3) up as Lesson two by accident! Now I put lesson 2 up in the right spot and added this one to it's own correct title etc. etc.
The point is that by some freak of nature you are recieving two lessons in two consecutive days! w00t!
*edit2*
Fixed some spelling errors and I've taken out the bad links. I'm working on some new and better worksheets anyway!

do you mean Katakana? or Kanji?
I'm not sure what Kagamie is

Kanji, I think, which ever one covers full words with only one symbol, like swrod, or moon

I have an introductory lesson for Kanji that you might find useful.
There's a lot of other people on DA though who have created Kanji lessons.
You could try looking around if you are interested.
There are so many kanji to learn and I didn't feel ambitious enough to create lessons for all of them

Thanks so much!!!! Why do they have to have different handwriting??? I started writing some hiragona from online and then I found your wonderful tutorial about how to write them and unfourtuently, they are in different handwriting! It's the handwriting style with the "so" is written in the last wring style given in the example, so that one seems to be the most different. ...Sigh...I wish learning a language was easy, but it never is. Guess I'll have to learn all the handwriting styles. Which handwriting style is most common?

I'm just now getting to lesson three after about a few weeks of continuous practice with lessons 0 thru 2. Working at my own pace, not wanting to move on until I'm proficient with previous lessons.
I'm having dreams of writing ka, ke, akai, iu, iki, and the rest of the vocabulary. Practicing my Hiragana strokes in my sleep sounds silly, but that's what happening. Also, I have some toys and anime videos with Japanese writing on them. I find it to be good practice to scan over the characters and find the letters I'm familiar with. It's so cool to spot a character amongst the unknowns and feel a sense of accomplishment. Again, thanks and this is too fun. Arigato. ^_^

I'm so glad to hear that someone is as dedicated as you!
In truth I am very lazy and if I had never started taking Japanese in High school I don't think I would have been able to learn all the hiragana. For that reason I have wondered if it's really worth making the lessons because I feel like everyone will probably just stop after a couple tries. Hearing from you helps me to know that my lessons are of use to someone and that people are working hard to get through them! Thank you ^.^

You're welcome. I become fascinated with the most "peculiar" hobbies in the eyes of others, like pen-juggling and left hand-writing, but once I indulge myself with something that really interests me, I devote my very essence into it. If you were to stop the lessons, it would be completely understandable. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm eternally grateful to have stumbled across your tutorials, that have finally inspired and encouraged me to seek out any method to learn a new language. Glad I was able to be an example to lift your iki, letting your effort know that at least one mind truly values its work.

Glad to see that you are doing this. I just finished teaching sumer school to kids, and in 3 week,s I taught them how to write hiragana. I might be a good idea to list all the words that can be written with just the characters that have been learned thusfar. For example, after finishing A-O, you can write "Ai" "ao""Ue" "etc.

Listing example words is a good idea ^.^ For lesson 3 I've included a pdf file down below that includes some practice words but maybe I'll start focusing on those words in the lesson too!
