I definitely see what you mean. I've been spending the last few years working on shadows, now I guess I gotta work on highlights more.

No worries, highlights are the cherry to top the piece. It's very small in comparison to the rest of the art, but it makes all the difference in the world. Just a dab of white here and there, and BOOM! If you studied shadows deeply already, you should have no problems figuring out your source of light and what should be popping up to catch the highlights.

I, like many artists, save the highlights as the last step. As always with painting start with midtones, then shadows, details and then highlights. I usually have tons of anticipation when I'm nearing the end for the highlights.

Dude, its dandy. I don't mind comments or critiques, its why I've got it turned up to max. Feel free to throw the kitchen sink at me. Oh yeah, illustrators should have thick skin as well. You should hear some of the abuse out there....jeez....makes me want to kick them in the ear half the time.

I used Photoshop 7 for the colours, I'm not sure what *Enydimon uses, but I suspect it's a later version of Photoshop.
