Here is the blue dragon. Only the sketches of the red and Tiamat to go. I hope to have the red up tomorrow or Friday and Tiamat by Monday. But it will be a little while before I can make the reference sheets and shade and color these dragons.

I think I went a little overboard on the scales, but I wanted to try a whole body overlapping scales.

The 2 biggest changes from the official D4e designs are the length of the neck and the scales on the tail.

The D3 and D4 blue dragons have very short necks. Since I am making this to eventually make Tiamat I knew that would not look good. I am also found of the original design which had a very long neck - so this is my compromise.

The D3 and D4 blue dragons have heavy plate scales on their tail very much like the white dragon. I thought this was a strange similarity so I went back to a more traditional design and continued the dorsal spikes down the tail.
