Description Oil on Canvas, 120cm X 90cm.
First painting for the year.
Hooray.
It's a portrait of Marcy.
Been working on this forever. Maybe 150 hours..maybe more.
Here's some helpful WIP shots to give you all a sense of scale, and hopefully a sense that I really did have to paint the thing, starting with a white canvas...it was hard.

You know, I really love paintings. And this, I have to say, is phenomenal. I don't usually like too many paintings of people, but you really did an outstanding job with this. The depth and perception, the detail (I know a bit of her nail polish is chipped, which I found remarkable), the style, the colors... everything! It's really rather amazing, all of it, and I just wanted to tell you that.
