It might be because the individual frame file sizes are too big. I've noticed that large animations tend to move slowly in the windows picture viewer thing. ^^'

Thank you for the tutorial! it helped me out a lot! But, i have a question, that maybe it's because i'm a complete novice at photoshop- but anyway... you said that after you make the animation if you have time you can color it? But...how? i can't seperate the lines when its in animation format...so i'm lost...*hangs head* i'd really appreciate if you could help me out thank you!

Well, I've never actually made a completed animation before, but I'd assume you'd open the .PSD file and just create new layers over the sketch and refine it~ Sorry I can't be of more help! D:

-coughs-
I was wondering if you could help meeee~
Your steps are very clear, and I love it.
But, I'm trying to make an animation with 83 framses, and going back and forth from PS & IM almost makes my computer die. D:
And, I tryed making the frames into smaller groups [10-20 frames per file] buttt when i go to put them in the animation, they make a new animation, instead of adding onto the old one.
And I tryed copying & pasting frames, but when you paste a frame it goes over all of them. -dies-
So, is there a way to add on other frames from other files?
I guess thats my question. LOL.
Thanks if you can help?

Jupeboxgal In reply to Leafnesseh [2006-02-05 20:49:02 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm... You say when you paste in a frame, it goes over all of them? Make it invisible in the first frame. It should disappear from all of them. Then you can make it visible only for the frame you intended it for. Simple, ne? =3

this is probably the most helpful tutorial that i have found yet. do you think that the process (with some minor alterations granted) would work in flash as well?

Jupeboxgal In reply to BorderTownDirector [2006-01-19 21:49:26 +0000 UTC]
I'm not certain, since I've personally never made anything except for non-animated pictures in flash, but it might. c:

Wow, I never knew ImageReady had any other purpose than to use up hard disk space and put an annoying icon on your start bar that you acidentally click instead of opening photoshop XD;
I shall use this veryvery soon... I want to animate some snowfall D:

that's so cool! question: what exactly is Adobe Image Ready? Is it a separate program from Adobe Photoshop?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Jupeboxgal In reply to Blue-Fish [2005-12-23 22:43:00 +0000 UTC]
Yes, basically. It's a helper program that comes with Adobe Creative Suite.

You have to upload a preview file + a regular file when you post the animation on devart=3
