Description
This is part 1 of a three-part series I'm working on. This first part should explain anything you might wonder over when it comes to stationary emotes. The next two parts will deal with Simple Animation and Advanced Animation. Stay tuned.
If there is anything you feel remains unaswered in this tutorial, please contact me and I'll make sure to add it.

It's like on the button bellow the smudge tool, I think. Just press "P" to select it.

Or did you mean the Pencil tool? If you're looking for that one, it's on the same button as the brush tool. Just click on it and hold down the mouse button till a menue appears. Then you can select it.

A tutorial? It would be just like this except I'd need to add a blood-tutorial and maybe a gore one. Seems kinda pointless, I think you should just experiment on your own.

i tried to do this, but for some reason when i choose a color on photoshop, it always comes out as grey...would you know how i could fix that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
LeoLeonardo In reply to emo-panda [2006-12-23 19:22:05 +0000 UTC]
You've probably selected "greyscale" when you created a new document for the colors. When you create a new document, make sure it's set to "RGB" or whatever it is (Red Green Blue) so that you get the full color range.

And I hope you make more. I have PS and IR 7, btw, so I can do it, I just have a little trouble with the smooth animation department.

Fun! This is a great guide to smileys, and I look forward to seeing the next part in the series.
I might have noticed a couple of misspellings. Not sure what country you might be from, but if you're from the U.S., Maneuver is spelled wrong, and a couple of words have a double letter where there shouldn't be. Not that it diminishes the effectiveness of the tutorial, but as you encourage advanced critique, I figured I would mention it.
Shall keep an eye out for part 2!
