Well, just got done playing the new Portal 2. I must say I was very, very, VERY impressed. I think I'm in love.In any case...I love to build things, especially with my hands. And the new boots caught my attention. I knew I didnt have the resources to make the spring heels (that would hold up 120 pounds and and hurt like a bitch), so I looked around and found the next best thing.
Yes those are real shoes.....Before and after to see if the shoe style would look good with the additions....It does. XD (that and it helps me not be so VERY short).
Might throw this into my 'future cosplay' folder....once I raise enough money for the base shoes.

What ever you'd like it to be.....you could use a white shiny latex cut and sewn the right way or a hard wonderflex shell molded and then painted with a white gloss.......And then of course anything in between.

I took an actual show (I gave the link in the authors comments), and photoshoped the design onto the boot, to ensure it would actually fit with the shape of the shoe.
Im not entirely sure about the portal gun, I've seen different people make it differently....but Im sure if you log on to Simplicity or visit JoAnn's that you can browse the pattern catalogs for a jumpsuit pattern, then just modify it to your size and liking.

I think you could get away with using pony girl boots as a base.

If not, you could always get some basic heels, chop off the heel and add a metal base to the bottom and underside of the shoes to keep them rigid enough to walk around with and you'll still be held up.

Yes, I looked into all sorts of shoes, I chose mine in particular just for the simplicity and comfort. It's not too drastic of an incline and it wouldnt destroy my feet while walking in them.
The problem with chopping off the heel of a shoe is it destroys the balance in it. These shoes are designed to carry the weight, just from a different location. Heels are generally there on a shoe to help distribute the persons weight, cutting them off without a plan B is not a very good idea, You would have to tip to around because otherwise you're heel is going to want to roll backwards.
I also thought about clear plastic or see through heels, but I just felt if I was going to do it, I was going to do it correctly and not try to cover it up.

That's why you attach metal along the bottom of the whol shoes as well as extending out at the bottom where the floor is. It would be practically invisble at a glance. There are fursuit makers who do that when it comes to hooves and larger size feet.

Thats basically the same design as what I put up, Im just particular to it. I really dont plan to MAKE These, its just a design I threw together. Thanks though for the different shoe styles! Im sure if someone is looking for it, they'll find it helpful.

They generally dont make these style shoes with shorter platforms. This is only an imagining using what I found in real life that works with my style and knowledge of craft. Theoretically you could make the shoes with a high weight baring metal, but I just dont have that kind of expertise...so I found an interesting pair of shoes and made it my own.
Its really just inspired off the design. (That and it makes me taller in the process since im very short)
