Avatar sucked. Revenge of the Fallen was actually much better. In fact I'm going to compare the two movies and see which is better.
ROTF:
Had an interesting and original plotline, using the "ancient astronauts" theory as a main theme.
Contained several marvellous action sequences (the Shanghai opener, the forest fight scene and the final battle in Egypt).
Knew that, sometimes, it's best to let the special effects tell the story (come on, you wouldn't want it to be like the Ang Lee Hulk, which was completely boring, would you...)

Had a boring plot that we have seen a million times. It is, in essence, Dances With Wolves in space.
Contained no action that is worth mentioning, with the final battle being incredibly bad.
Didn't let the special effects tell the story, instead focusing on long character speeches that didn't really do anything for the story.
So, in conclusion, WHY DID EVERYONE HATE ROTF AND LOVE AVATAR?!

Hehe, at first I thought Avatar would be the Smurfs on Steroids but when I actually got to see it at the pictures on 3D, it's amazing, one of the best films ever. They really need to bring out 3D TV now, it's been long over due.

It's a piece of shit. The best film that I've ever seen was Peter Jackson's King Kong, and that is much better than Avatar.

Well I agree with you now, I actually can't watch 3D films anymore as they give me a headache. My opinion on Avatar has changed too since then, although the action is good but as a story it's actually not very good.
