Description Panel 1 - Ahh! I worked so hard on this edit and it just crashes MMD! I'm giving up on this edit...
"Don't give up yet I will show you how to fix this"

Panel 2 - First lets check the bones, well the bones look good lets check on the other things.

Panel 3 - Well that's a problem.

Panel 4 - When you are done getting all the physics selected press "Edit" -> "Selected(O)" -> "Del Bone/Physic/Joint Del"

Side note - Un-needed physics may not crash MMD but it does mess up the model while dancing. Like making the skirt spazz even more then it started with.

Panel 5 - God this will take years to clean!
"No not really"

Panel 6 - Go to the joint tab.
You see alot of the un-needed joints have the same ending. ( Like a repeat like Joint A --> AAAAA --> AAAAA in most cases they will be attached to the same thing or even left blank)
Well those are the ones you need to remove.
A easy way to do it is by clicking the last joint on the list and going to your "Delete" key on your keyboard then just click "OK".

Side note - Make sure to keep an eye on what your deleting because you may remove some important joints. Oh yeah another thing if you have alot of un-connected joints it may make PMDE not work right.

Panel 7 8 - Now she's clean and the model doesn't crash MMD~!

Side note - If you can't find all the un-needed joints and physics, you are better off just restarting the model and making sure each part it cleaned before you add it to the base your using.

This is not the case for all crashes of MMD. Sometimes it's bones which I can't really help you on that.
If none of this works/helps start the model over. That's all I can say/do to help anyone if they are still having problems with the model, sorry.
Also read the comments.

Yeah. It all depends on the quality of the parts you are using. Some people make parts with hideous rigging and cleaning up, so pay attention to that.

I forgot to ask, How do I know what joints anf physics to delete? There are some I see that I want to delete, but when I do, it crashes MMD :/ and I don't know how to tie loose ends (if you know what I mean)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MMD3DCGParts In reply to MoondreamofA [2015-04-06 19:33:38 +0000 UTC]

In the tutorial I do say which joints you should delete and how you find them.
But if you have too many joints attached to the same thing and you can't find the right one I would really recommenced either starting over (you know re-finding the parts you used and putting the model back together) and making sure ever thing is in it's right place. Like making sure a dress doesn't have hair bones and joints or even shoes with skirt joints. You get the jest of it.
Another thing you can do is well this isn't the most favorable of the choices but removing all joints and physics and make them yourself.
Which you can Deviantart search for mmd joints tutorial and so on.

This is all the advice I can offer on this, sorry."

I understand all that, but it's still very difficult. especially when this shows up: img10.deviantart.net/80a4/i/20… I have zero idea of what to do!

MMD3DCGParts In reply to MoondreamofA [2015-04-07 17:52:34 +0000 UTC]

I did go over that in this tutorial.
But like I said if it's to much work your better off getting the parts again and fixing them up then putting them on the base.
Cause other than the circled part there are 3DCG joints and physics (I'm talking about the back  hair the smaller ones not the bigger one) that are not really meant to be there.

The model I'm using still crashes. I've never been good with models. Oh well. The tutorial is good anyway :3

MMD3DCGParts In reply to PhoenixWright2016 [2015-04-05 15:12:27 +0000 UTC]

Ah sorry to hear that.
But sometimes MMD can crash from un-connected joints, un-connected bones and maybe some other ways that i'm not 100% on, which I do think some people made tutorials on how to fix it.

MoondreamofA In reply to MMD3DCGParts [2015-04-06 00:57:17 +0000 UTC]

How do you know if the Joints or bones are unconnected?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MMD3DCGParts In reply to MoondreamofA [2015-04-06 01:16:38 +0000 UTC]

Crashing of MMD (some unlucky cases of crashing your PMDE/PMXE), physics not moving when you want them to move (and vice versa), bones going to space, when moving your model around a part of the hair or something that's rigged to the bone not moving with the right part (say like you added a hair piece and it has its own set of bones, then you move the head bone and that part doesn't move with the head. Instead it moves with the neck bone or something as random as the shoulder bone) and physics rolling off of your model.

Like I said in the last comment there are tutorials to help you with these problems.

I've been trying everything..
Delete joints, delete physics, and it still crashes!
I've checked if the base I used was the problem, but it went fine!
What do I do? ;A;

Well, that trick is good as long as you are lucky enough that the unnecessary physics joints are just a few or are all together in the list. But in a real mess-up model it could really take years to clean, so it's best to trash it or take the clothes and put them yourself on a clean base

MMD3DCGParts In reply to harryhack91 [2014-11-11 15:53:57 +0000 UTC]

Well another trick I would say rename of the physics you want to keep, like RArm 1, RHand, and so on.
So everything that isn't in English (Or any Language you speak)  you can just remove.
Well along as the physics are removed, the joints will have a random name (Instead of Skirt1 ---> Skirt2 ) and they mostly be attached to the first physic on the list (Head ---> Head) then it's easy cleaning.
But sometimes the joints will not re-attached them selves to the English ones, so you kinda have to re-name the first sets of joints and just do the same with the physics.
I mean I re-name all my joints and physics so in case I add a part and already edited it a ton, had alot of un-needed physics and joints so I can just look at the list and delete them.
It's just not alot of people go thru this even if in the long run it's pretty useful :c
