I am def going to become a subscriber as soon as possible!

Also, quick question. Would you mind screencaping your oilpaint filter options for me?
I have photoshop CC and it didn't come with it, so I downloaded it. And my options don't have the shine option :/

I usually lower my shine to zero because it's annoying. The others I play with until I like. On my next manip or detailed fur-painting tutorial I'll include a capture of that. Thank's for requesting that. <3

<3 <3 thank you. I'm glad it can be of use; I'm not very good at making tutorials (I honestly think my old tutorial is more helpful, but I don't necessarily manip that way anymore)...Β

I am more interested in how you make your fur look so real and natural. When i try to paint fur it always looks fake and random. Also coloring can be difficult! I want to try painting the whole body like you did here instead of just the edges.

A lot of it is just going to take practice, studying Β the fur patterns. I have some good tutorials for fur direction/lighting in my favorites (in the Tutorials folder) that are REALLY helpful.Β

If you don't mind me asking, did you separately download the Oil Painting Filter? I hear it was removed and only in old versions of photoshop, is this true and if so is there another way to get it for CS5 for example?

I have it in CS6 by default. Another option you could do is Guassian Blur on a very low setting (amount would depend on the size of your image)....

Cut subject out
Duplicate Layer > Guassian blur
Clip that duplicate in a clipping mask to your original (so the edges are still sharp)Β
Lower Opacity to desired effect. It'll get rid of those nasty photo pixels.Β
(I suggest erasing the blurred area where the eyes are so it'll show your sharp/clear original)
Merge the 2 layers

^ I used to do the above method a long time ago. I saw it in a tutorial somewhere...Β
