When this move/perk is chosen, the user's physical appearance will not change, but it will cause their health, stamina, and energy to constantly decrease. The only way to stop the energy loss, is to kill something and drain its life essence. Once an essence has been absorbed, the negative effect will stop for 30 minutes. Description: No information is known about this move, as no one has reached it yet. All that is known, is that the only way to unlock it is to have chosen the Murderer's Lust path.
***Shadow Daggers***
(ATTACK MOVE)
-Guardian Level
-Increased Damage
-Maximum Energy Cost
Description: This is the standard Master of Shadows technique, and in order for it to be learned user must first have learned all moves in the Shadow's Road path and have trained with Elder Darkon. When this ability is used, the user gains the power to throw daggers of shadow energy at an opponent's shadow. When this is done, the user can then take control of the targeted shadow, and make it do whatever they wish, in turn forcing the owner of the shadow to do whatever their own shadow does. If the shadow cuts its throat, the owner of it would do the same, ending their own life. This ability can only be used about 20 times in succession. After that, the user will be too far drained of energy to use it again, and will pass out.
So upon seeing this one, you guys might be wondering a little something... Why does it look like the Shadow element has TWO different power trees...? Well that's because it does indeed have two power paths! The Shadow element is the ONLY ELEMENT that has more than one path. And as you can see, not all of the abilities for the second one are known... I won't reveal what those other two abilities are, until someone in the League reaches mastery of the Shadow element, in the second path.
The Shadow element is also one of the hardest elements to master, next to Universal and Spirit. It requires a great deal of discipline to control it.
If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask!
Enjoy!

I'm reading over this and quite frankly I'm questioning the benefits of the Murderer's Lust path. The trade-off doesn't seem very good. In order to not suffer a constant energy drain, the user needs to kill a living being every 30 minutes and the only way to make that unnecessary is an amulet that no one knows how to make or where to find. What are the benefits that would make it worth that?
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to Azarius-Flashfang [2015-08-14 18:03:24 +0000 UTC]
I have to edit that sometime. Originally these trees were designed to fit a video game.
So in reality it should be every 8 hours.
The benefits however are drastically increased strength, endurance, and energy reserves. Making elemental attacks far stronger that those of regular Shadow users.

Azarius-Flashfang In reply to Neffertity [2015-08-14 18:11:09 +0000 UTC]
Oh, okay. That makes far more sense. Having to drain the essence of a living being every 30 minutes seems ridiculous but 8 hours seems much more reasonable. Although I'm curious, what's the deal with a Blood Amulet?

The Blood Amulet is toed into the last ability of the second branch of the element. Though it won't reveal exactly what it is just yet.

i got one question. for the murderer's lust path thing. if kill two living beings, does the negative effect go away for 1hr or still 30mins? does the person take this path can only absorb one essence every 30mins and cannot take 2 essences?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to Arakod-Qirian [2013-11-28 19:18:27 +0000 UTC]
It only goes away for 30 minutes. So you could kill 1,000 and it would only give you 30 minutes. You can only absorb one essence at a time.
π: 0 β©: 1
Arakod-Qirian In reply to Neffertity [2013-11-28 23:46:27 +0000 UTC]
alright. one more question. if theres only like 15 or 10 mins and you kill someone does the time replenish(not sure the correct word to use there XP) back to 30 mins. or stays 15 mins
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to Arakod-Qirian [2013-11-29 17:42:30 +0000 UTC]
It stays at 15. Once every 30 minutes.Β
And the only way to bypass these effects entirely is with a Blood Amulet. But no one knows where to find one, or how to create one, if at all possible.

I've been waiting this one
So, the chosen path affects the creature completely, therefore the murderer's path will make them evil no matter what? Has anyone chosen it yet?
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to RusCSI [2013-11-27 17:00:57 +0000 UTC]
Actually, it doesn't make you evil. It's given the name "Murderer's Lust" because in order to prevent the negative effects of the techniques in that branch, life essence must be absorbed. And the only way to obtain life essence, is to kill.Β
Well, let's just say that someone has. But I won't reveal whom.
π: 0 β©: 1
RusCSI In reply to Neffertity [2013-11-27 17:04:19 +0000 UTC]
So, no rest for the wicked?
Just kidding, but if to think about it... it says the effects are neutralized for 30 minutes only, meaning that the dragon has to kill each 30 minutes? With no sleep, etc, etc? Or maybe I'm getting it wrong?
Sounds a bit like a vampire's path, but more brutal xP
Oh, I'll be keeping an eye for the missions updates then c:
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to RusCSI [2013-11-27 17:08:16 +0000 UTC]
Nope, you've got it right. That path requires alot of death and killing, to remain strong. You don't have to kill, but if the negative effects continue, you will become as weak as a child within a matter of hours.
There are certain ways to bypass this effect, but they aren't unlocked until the mastery technique of that branch is learned.
π: 0 β©: 1
RusCSI In reply to Neffertity [2013-11-27 17:13:38 +0000 UTC]
Is any kill counted? For example, will it work if they kill a mosquito instead of a deer or whatever else?
How do they sleep then?
Poor creature will have to suffer till then, I see. I wonder if it's worth what they have to live through before that moment.
π: 0 β©: 1
Neffertity In reply to RusCSI [2013-11-28 02:56:34 +0000 UTC]
Correct. Β
Well it really only affects them while they are awake. So while they sleep, they won't feel the energy drain. When they wake up they will feel weak, but not too horrible. Since sleep restores energy.
Perhaps it is, or maybe... It's far worse than they could have ever imagined...

The restrictions really do apply when anyone who originates on Dovabrod does anything within their power tree. Those from other universes aren't bound by this, as it may differ in their world. But these limitations would affect Zilla for sure.
