This is one 'bot that's been waiting to happen since I had the idea of Jellybots at all.Guys, meet Duncan. (based again on another friend of the same name) He's the older-kid and a bit of a mystery. I think he might serve as sort-of an instructor to the younger kids. He's, like, the Jelly RA.
Generally, teens as old as Duncan can no longer interface with the Jelly. But as one of the Candyman's first pupils, he's been able to grow and change with his suit. He's aloof and a little sarcastic. He designed the sphere floating alongside him in the suit himself; is that it's kind of his 'tell'. He's able to punctuate his expressions with an emoticon of his choosing. I'm hoping to get some fun juxtapositions out of the idea.

I don't know if you've talked about this before but are you planning on pitching this as an animation or comic or something?

Yes.
That's the easy answer. For the moment, I'm just trying to develop the characters and the world and the sense of story etc etc. Eventually I'll be honing in, probably trimming things and changing things and then, for my end, I may make a comic. I need a story I believe in in order to do that, and so far all I have is a bunch of characters.
Ultimately, I'd love to pitch it for animation...but who really knows? At the moment it's just a world I'm playing with

I think it'd work really well as a color comic, the characters are really graphically strong! for animation i almost think CG would be a better fit, for the jelly and stuff, yknow?

Great piece. Design of the guy itself is amazing and his bot gives him this extra look. Al holds together and without each other, lovely.
