Part 3: [link]Pattern pieces needed:

Alright, here's part 2! A note about printing the pattern: paste the picture into a Word document, and then resize it to fill the ENTIRE paper, even going over the margins.
If anything's not clear (which it probably is. I'm terrible at explaining things), feel free to ask.

Yeah, it asks that whenever you click a link that leads out of DeviantArt. It's fine, just click "Ok" or whatever it says.

Alright. I've read through the comments to see if I could understand the 'printing out the patterns' thing, but all I got were oddly worded questions and I suppose vague answers.
Question 1. Do I make the margins zero inches, so that there are NO margins?
2. I only stretch the pattern diagonally so that WHAT part of the pattern picture is out of the page? (how much of the blank space, that is)
3. and this is NOT on landscape mode, right? Just normal Portrait mode?
I don't mean to sound a bit huffy, but I wasted a whole lot of time fixing up the patterns when I realized I was doing to wrong. Thanks a ton again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Yes, make the margins 0 inches.
2. Stretch the image diagonally until the right and left sides of the image hit the sides of the paper. There might be some space on the bottom, but that's ok.
3. Yep, portrait mode.

Question!
So I've cut out the upper and lower head pieces and am about ready to sew them together, but I'm wondering do I leave the bottom points separated (like your diagram shows), or do I sew them together to make one point?
I hope that makes sense, I have pretty much little to no clue what I'm doing, I'm teaching myself to sew by making this (probably not the best of ideas I've had, but it looks so cute I couldn't resist).

haha, no, don't leave the bottoms seperate. Sew them together into a single point. Sorry, the diagram is a little misleading on that one. xD

I don't really understand where the chin goes. In the parts list at the top it says you only need one chin piece, but that only has one horn thing, and if you only need one I don't understand which way round it goes :/

nooby-banana In reply to Ira-Dracona [2011-03-27 17:29:21 +0000 UTC]
Did you place the flat edge of the pattern on the fold of the fabric? That way you get a symmetrical piece with a horn part on either side, and then you sew that horn part to the smallest horn on "Lower head"

When resizing on a Word document, do I just have to stretch the image to the right and left, or do I have to stretch it up and down too?
If it's just right and left should I stretch it diagonally? (seeing as that should keep it in proportion)

nooby-banana In reply to Ira-Dracona [2011-03-27 04:52:37 +0000 UTC]
Stretch it diagonally, that way it stays in proportion.

This tutorial looks amazing! Thank you for putting it up; I can't wait to start on it.
I have a question about the pattern, though-- are seam allowances included? Or did you add your own when you cut out the pieces?

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it! Nope, seam allowances aren't included. So when you're cutting it out leave about 1/4 inch around the edge.

Hi, sorry, I think I'm asking a question that a bunch of other people have asked before, but i'm confused by the resizing. I'm a bit of a techophobe... When I do what you've said before, where I drag from the bottom right hand corner, until the little resize dots are at the edge of the page, all of them are at the edges, except for those at the bottom. (so every dot is against an edge except for the one in the middle at the bottom) Should I then be dragging it down from the one at the bottom in the middle, or will that make it out of proportion? Does that make sense?
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
nooby-banana In reply to wheezy-diver [2011-01-31 22:18:32 +0000 UTC]
I get what you're saying. It's ok that the one on the bottom isn't touching. I wouldn't drag it so that it touches because that would make it out of proportion.

Also, I've just realised, I'm British, and I think our word documents are preset to a different paper size to the US... this might be why my resizing it the way you described isn't making it fit the whole page... What are the page dimensions of your word documents?

i was wondering if you could help, im not quite clear on how to print, i know i have got to paste it in to word and then enlarge it to fit the whole page but im not sure if this is right ([link] ) if it isnt can you help me, im just dumb lol XD ! oh and one more thing if i did this to all of the other links and enlarged them to fit the whole page then what if i enlage it to big or small, will my toothless be out of proportion ? thanks . Man im dumb XD !

nooby-banana In reply to Berru-chan [2011-01-20 06:55:57 +0000 UTC]
Almost right, you made it just a little too big. Make sure the resize handles on the bottom and right side line up with the edges of the page and you'll be good. Just make sure all the handles line up on the edges on each image and you'll be fine.

nooby-banana In reply to Berru-chan [2011-01-20 16:43:56 +0000 UTC]
Perfect! Now as long as you resize each image to be the same size you shouldn't have any trouble with proportions. And honestly, if one or two pattern pieces are a tiny bit bigger or smaller than needed, it probably won't matter and the plush will still look good.

I was just looking over all the pattern pieces that I cut and stuck together, and some of the pattern pieces, the upper and lower head pieces mostly, are looking as though they will be very hard to sew together because of the different shape and size of horn 1 on the different sheets, it just seems to bother me that if I start sewing I wont be able to do the head properly.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
nooby-banana In reply to Millenstein [2011-01-12 06:29:51 +0000 UTC]
The head pattern is a little bit off, but it shouldn't be a problem if you're sewing it properly. You may have to do a little bit of stretching on the horns, but other than that if you're having problems sewing it you may be doing it wrong. The horn 1 piece is a bit longer than necessary, but you can cut off the excess later.

I'm so lost on the chin. Do I need to cut out two chin pieces because the single piece instructed in the pattern isn't stretching far enough to connect either side of the head. Either I'm just slow and not getting this or I've missed sometime entirely. Please help! O-o

nooby-banana In reply to IkaikaDesign [2011-01-01 17:54:28 +0000 UTC]
For the chin you place the flat side of the chin pattern piece on a fold of the fabric, so you end up with a single piece that's symmetrical on both sides. Then it should be big enough to fit.
