Frosty Editor by GalaxyMan2015 and benji

In this tutorial I will show you how to extract models and
textures for Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect
Andromeda using Frosty Editor.

I will then show you how to use the textures provided by
the game to change the colours on the textures.

First Part is for Dragon Age Inquisition.
Second Part is for Mass Effect Andromeda.

Sorry about the wait for the tutorial. Don't have much time to record voice parts for tutorials sadly. I don't speak through all of it. I just explain bits in between. Also sorry for difference in how loud some parts are. different days for recording. also I originally had the older version of frosty editor so if you wonder why the date at bottom right changes its because I recorded parts with the updated version of frosty editor.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial.  I was just wondering if when you export a mesh from Frosty if yours are coming out teeny tiny.  I've tried all the different scaling sizes but I must be missing something.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Do you have it set up to the same export I use in the tutorial? Fbx 2014 and scale meters?

They do come out tiny in 3ds max but not in blender. I actually have to scale them down for blender.

If they are tiny even with the settings i know that you can tweak the scale import on blender import settings. Which pop up bottom left when you are searching/selecting the item you want to import. So if they are still tiny then tweak the scale setting on import.

I think 3ds max has the same option to scale on import but i am not 100% sure. I would have to look into it.

You're welcome I hope it has helped.

Thank you for the reply!

I did use the same export setting that you did and I am using 3ds Max.  I just ended up finding the closest export, then import, settings for both ends and scaled.  I just thought it would be nice to use Frosty to extract models since it puts them face forward instead of backwards like DAI Modmaker - would you happen to know if there's a fix for that?  Morphs refuse to cooperate with mirrored models.

Again, thanks for the reply.  And I do appreciate your tutorials - always inspires me to play around with DA models more.  I wish I was more inspired by the characters in ME:A to play around with them.

Sorry that I replied so late. Sadly I have no idea how to fix that issue for models in DAI modmaker. Also modmaker has issues with the exported models being mirrored and the weights on the eyes being wrong.

Which is why I prefer Frosty at the moment too.
