Description
Legion air-defense vehicles use the Rhino chassis, allowing their supporting fire to keep pace with Legion advances or decimate waves of enemy aircraft from entrenched positions. While the Legions rely on their air-superiority fighters to maintain dominance above the battlefields of the Great Crusade, air-defense batteries are designed to counter the most advanced air forces encountered among the Imperium’s foes.
Replacing the Legion Hydra Flak Tank, the Artemis Air-Defense Tank gained a fearsome reputation in the middle to late Great Crusade. Armed with the Skyreaper battery, this formidable self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG) cleared the skies of many battlefields. Because of its extreme ammunition consumption and vulnerable external magazines, the Artemis was placed in the reserves of most Legions as soon as other anti-aircraft vehicles were introduced.
Shown here is a Legion Artemis Flak Tank in the livery of the Eighth Legion ‘Night Lords’.
