YAY ANOTHER FAN ART DRAWING OF DEAR MATTEO!
Though this person is no stranger to drawing Matteo, the lovely did an update for him. For those of you that don't know or don't remember, Rena(acy) has a comic called Witching Hour which features Matteo as one of its main characters. 
I love what shes done this time around, giving Matteo's mask a different take, also making it look more like the lego piece. She also put his goggles over his eyes, something I'd like to do better with the MOC but haven't figured out how. Overall I'm very satisfied with what she did with the updates.

Definitely. Acy has really improved with her character designs. I keep telling her to get into art school and learn to become a concept artist.

I just noticed but you could dress up as matteo. The head could be easy, as it does remind one of those masks plague doctors had, except red. And with goggles.

The girl who did this and I have talked extensively about this topic actually. The hat and mask would have to be custom made, but everything else could be purchased. His clothing is general enough that stores that specialize in antique or period style clothing would have what I need. There's also stores online that specialize in this kind of stuff to. The hat and mask are signature, and unique. Those would be the hardest and probably most expensive things to get for the costume.
Making up Matteo's costume wouldn't be cheap though. I'd want to do it right, so certain things would have to be made out of leather, which gets expensive pretty quick. Renamon is working on her own plague doctor cosplay right now. SHe's making the mask out of paper-machet.

Couldn't you just get a plague doctor's mask, paint it red, but little teeth on the end, and do whatever else?

I probably could. But Matteo's mask is supposed to be very unique and different from most Plague doctor masks. And like I said, I'd want to do it right, not half ass it. So maybe as a temporary mask, yeah, I could do that while I put the costume together.

They actually appear as poofs of smoke. Its an ability he gained on his many travels. Well, depending on which story. We did keep them in Witching Hour.
