Description
It's wacky. It's naughty. It's wrong. It's PINK!It's dedicated to my favorite GM, John T. He knows who he is, the ol' muffin.
Honestly, I don't think I can say anything about this picture that will make sense. The bunnies are the collective avatar of the Fluffy Cult of Doom, Despair and General Annoyance. These two Predators (or Predator and Dorkette) have waged fluffy war on the cult and intend to bonk it down to size. (Bunnies can't be sliced; they really ARE all fluff. They have to be bonked with the flat of a blade or with a large mallet, or a rock, or an unabridged dictionary!)
Make of my bunnies and my unfortunate Predators what you will - it was a heck of a lot of fun to draw and color.
The lady on the left is Steg'cti-di, the Running Blade, Bloody Sourge of Tor. The dorkette on the right is Blasphemy.

Oh ye gods, yes. And by the time this game wound down, there were bunnies of every color of the rainbow, each with special powers of annoyance. I came close to declaring them a Race Enemy.

Hint try the holy hand grenade. And count to three not five three. So you'll count like: 1...2...3; not like: 1...2...5.

That's the irony - who ever thinks of fluffy pink bunnies as evil? It depends on your point of view. I wrote up that normal-looking Predator as a real stick in the mud who didn't quite understand the concept of "magic". I used her in a game universe that pretty much ran on magic, so my character was way out of her depth and constantly grumpy (violently so) as a result. The Fluffy Cult of Doom, Despair, and General Annoyance (ie, the bunnies) was simply the last straw. My character went quite off her rocker for a while and it took a near-death experience and a stern talking-to from the Black Warrior to set her to rights.

Well, that's a... unique plot line. But I like unique, confusing and weird things! And the pink bunnies just prove that even evil can be cute!

The only problem is that they don't stay slain for long... That is the really bothersome thing about magical constructs. Damn bunnies.

rachaelm5 In reply to DarthShogun [2005-07-07 21:39:35 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it's very weird. The story is much stranger than this picture even suggests.
The bunnies aren't living entities, strictly speaking. They're cursed magical constructs that have to be "bopped" out of existence just like in the cartoons. The best weapon for this task is a big wooden mallet. But since when to Predators carry around things like that? Usually, they just have to make-do with the flat of a blade. As long as one hits the damned bunnies HARD enough, they go away...

rachaelm5 In reply to DarthShogun [2005-07-08 00:24:27 +0000 UTC]
The planet is called Tor and the bunnnies are indigenous... sorta. As I said, they're magical constructs.
Tor was a world designed by a friend of mine for the enjoyment of a bunch of us collegiate role-players. I RP'ed as a Predator and had to deal with the utter incongruity of fluffy pink bunnies in the game world. I had to deal with it In Character, which was a most enjoyable challenge. After all, what self-respecting Predator can tell the clan leaders that she has had tremendous success as a Hunter when her prey has been annoying little furballs?
No, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's one of those "you had to be there" kind of stories.

Yes. Feather dusters are potent weapons in this particular cult - they have a +15-to-Tickle effect, or something hideous like that. Vorpal feather dusters. Even Predators are affected, and that's dead embarrassing.
I'll probably have to draw a Tickle Attack to follow up on this picture. What you don't see here is that one of the bunnies got away, and it's going to call up reinforcements.

Thank you muchly. I don't do a whole lot of cartoony characters, so drawing all the expressions on the panicky bunnies was a lot of fun.
It took me about 10 hours to color this, all together. Due to my wrist/elbow/shoulder injury I had to spread it out over several days.

LOL - thanks, man. Tis a sick and twisted bit of imagination, but it gets me by...
Later in this same RPG, the bunnies started mutating into colors and puns. The GM was positively EVIL about it. I may have to tackle the full prismatic horror in a later picture. I'm certainly glad that this one here has been such a big hit, and thank you for your compliments!

Wha? Bright n' happy colors a surprise? When I go in with color, it's USUALLY bright n' happy. It's somber colors that are an oddity for me.
Glad you like the ridiculous pic. The bunnies are glad, too, and I've sent 30 of them to your house via bulk mail. It looks like I'm not done with the Fluffy Cult of Doom by a long shot; I'll have to figure out some more ways to embarrass the Mighty Mandibled Ones.
