Description I have been asked many times how I execute some of my 3D works. This little resource gives some guidelines on how I approach some of the 3D Concept/Detail and Visualizations.

Softwares Used are usually AutoCad, AccuRender, Pshop and Pencil.

Cheers

I'm definitely late to reply, I only just went through all 400 deviations I had sitting around, waiting to be looked at.
Always wondered how you did this stuff, looks great. :]

Hey mate, I do use CAD to layout and model all my work. When I render - i use the Architectural Plugin software AccuRender which works with ACAD. This gives me the desired results. I havent rendered in ACad in the past... 6-7 years.

You can also try to work it in Maxwell Render - the learning curve is less stressful than Max/C4D.

If you want some nice tutorials for C4D - check out

perhaps,..sometimes you'll like to share the settings ...I mean..the parameters,..the lighting type you used,..material assign,..etc,...Will you?

Sampdoria In reply to prasetia [2008-02-25 10:10:33 +0000 UTC]

Every rendering has a different setting according to the space and volume.

Here I have used predominantly 50-75W Narrow Beam Concealed Spot Lights. (Provided in the software).
Most of the materials used have an opaque quality with minimum bumping.
Other materials like the Glazing is set to High Reflectivity. This made the rendering slower naturally.
Any use of metals makes a rendering slower as well.

These are the main things I can think of.

Thanks a lot...I appreciate it....

I used AutoCAD and 3d Max 5,..but during my works..the deadline seems won't allow me to use the hi-quality setting because it took a very very long time to render the object while the drawing need to be processed soon...so...I only used the skylight and light tracer option...

My objects usually a stage (for the television show),which is set up in a studio,..I presume the space are 22m wide, 22m long, 9m height..and I made the drawing at the same scale (1:1),..If you don't mind...any suggestion of the rendering setting? Thanks mate...

For a stage, there are a couple of lightings which come into play.

- You will need to set up the stage lighting which consists of
a. General ambient lighting (warm lighting maybe equally spaced 100W bulbs)
b. Spotlights to light objects or people on the stage.

- Other lighting will be indirect or hidden lighting in the auditorium.
