Someone once mentioned to me that I didn't happen to mention who the threat ever was and after watching chapter 1 & 2 over, they were right! I know I mention it in 3, which as you know is on hiatus, but I'm surprised I went that far without mentioning it once. I went back over the pages I've done so far and noticed I never once mentioned WHAT this character was, so I found a way to slip in what kind of animal this guy is on this page.
For those that don't know, the Mink is the Muskrat's natural enemy. Minks will not only dine on Muskrat, but they will invade and take over their homes as well.

Where Mink lives anyway?
So he wants to kill all of them just to get their home?

In this world they live in the hilly and rocky areas and use caves as their homes. But since there was a big fire (which will be talked about in issue 2 and is talked about in chapter 2 of the animated version), all of their food sources was destroyed and now they have to take desperate means to survive. They were barely getting by as it was before the disaster. They used to leach off the muskrats and even do what their primal motives drove them to (including killing and eating of), before the guardians and the fortress was formed to protect them.

I like this a lot colors are bright and there are only colored lines, indeed a truly superior piece of art! Great work cant wait to see more of this comic!

Hehehe. Hamsters are more fun. I know we kid, it's minks and muskrats. Lots of people do humans. But really, animals have simplified shapes to them actually that make them a bit easier to draw and I like animals. Not just that, but with what happens out there in the animal kingdom, it gives me fuel to add to the overall story, such as the fact that muskrats are a mink's favorite food, and not just that, they invade and take over their homes. There's so much you can do with that.
