Description "Didn't know anybody still used revolvers.  Compensating for something?"
"Takes more than a limp-dick nine to satisfy my needs."
"Move aside and I'll show you what this 'limp dick' can do."

Despite operating under joint NATO command, friction between units is a common problem.  This can manifest it's self as nearly anything ranging from friendly contests to outright brawls.  Of course, when a British SBS operator challenges an American AFSOC air commando's choice of sidearm on Freudian grounds, competition is inevitable.

Just felt like showing people on the same side not quite getting along.

I can see this also playing out as a .45 ACP double-stack semi-auto vs. 9mm.  The one packing the .45 auto double-stack would make this argument: 'Haven't you heard?  Their patrols we've ambushed are carrying combat drugs, they're shooting up on chems!  Empty a mag of 9mm in 'em and they won't even feel it!  They will feel nearly half-inch, drill-bit-shaped slugs augering through 'em though!'

Revolver vs automatic, 9mm vs .45, M16 vs AK, pancake vs waffle. Long as there are at least two ways of doing something, people will debate over which is proper.

The good thing about Revolver (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that they never jam. That tiny benefits can mean life and death!

That is the traditional wisdom when it comes to automatics vs revolvers.  The trade-off though is that in the extremely rare event something does go wrong with a revolver, it's very difficult to get them running again.  Usually involves complete disassembly and possibly even gunsmithing to get them back into action.  With an automatic usually you can be up and running again in seconds if something goes wrong.  Not always, of course, but for the most part it's just a matter of quick remedial action.  In the end both sides have their benefits and drawbacks.

Ah damn I didn't know. How rare when something goes wrong with a revolver? I mean someone once told me if you get a gun. Stay away from .38. So I'm going to have assume that the revolvers that going to be having the most issues. Man I just remembered another drawbacks from a revolver slow reloading time. And the amount of ammunition. Speaking of ammunition. The automatic is king😲 youtu.be/rnN0s1G2ZzA

For what it's worth, I've never personally seen a revolver go wrong.  I've also never seen anyone carry a hundred round magazine, haha.

Ran into something like this when stationed in Germany with the Air Force.  Got in a friendly drinking contest with some Brit soldiers.  Ended up paying for most of the drinks.

I've heard that British doctrine places high value on individual marksmanship.  It would be interesting to hear a firsthand account!

The only problem I ever had with a revolver was when I was involved with Cowboy Action Shooting.  Had a primer back out a little after firing that it jammed the cylinder so it couldn't turn.  Had to take a DQ (disqualification) so I could step out of the stage I was shooting and pull the cylinder pin and push out the cylinder to remove the spent case.  As nice as autos are for large capacities, nothing can help out more than practice, practice, and more practice.  And a wheel gun with six rounds can sometimes do more than an automatic with 9+ rounds in the mag.  And that can come down to whether or not you have a 'stovepipe', i.e., a case caught between the slide and the barrel when doing some rapid shooting.

Damn, that's nasty!  High primer can choke an auto too, though usually it's just a tap-rack-bang issue.  And yeah, there's definitely no substitute for practice.  I've seen dudes with $1,500 superguns who can barely keep it on the paper, much less keep up with the old guy three stalls down shooting single-hole groups with a crusty 1911.  Can't buy skill.

That's true.  And another thing about a revolver:  You don't leave spent casings lying around so the cops can trace them!

If they can set aside their 'toys' maybe they'll find solace inside a squared circle of sorts. I hear they signed up a pair of hand to hand specialists that would be more than willing to deal with the paper work to help these two settle their differences.

Some rivalries are just too good to be buried.

You'd officially be called butt master if not for the fact that this and boob master title are mutually exclusive, to prevent too much mastery in single place.
