so from what I heard today, the sonic cannon is all over the place according to Sonic's creator.You know Sega, along with game play, it would be really nice if the sonic games had some sort of connection instead of just being one off's or just all over the place...with classic Sonic not being cannon, this not being that, the only real thing I liked about what he said was that at the least there are 2 worlds, sonic's and earth. Other then that the cannon is bad, and Sega and Sonic's creator should feel bad.

In Β all honesty most of the stuff Iizuka says is directly contradicted by the games them self (like Classic is another time line with is my classic games are reverenced in modern games, continued in moderns games, revisiting placed from the classics, Classic Sonic imaginary exist in Adventure 1 and Sonic and tails see Classic Sonic and Tails in Generations as there younger self's)
And when we ignore Iizukas BS are the games a perfectly fine canon were one games follows another (with Some exceptions that play in between like Cd or the advance games but non of them are hard to place)

After reading a few interviews, I noticed the answer "It's a different universe" or "A different timeline come up." So I guess each game is happening within it's own timeline? Kind of? Sort of? Maybe?

For the most part, everything the game's present to us makes sense in a linear fasion. So just... Ignore everything Izuka says until it actually comes into play

I've read DC and Marvel all my life so I'm desensitized by the efforts to keep continuity. I like things to connect, but the only thing I can be sure of is that everything that was officially published is relative.Β

But seriously though it really is just a cavalcade of mess isn't it just purely all over the place. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole Sonic's world and earth like are they different dimensions, planets, galaxies, etc.
