*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now ***

Much like chapter 2, I have to make the sad confession that this is one of my other favorite paintings I've done for the Harry Potter series. And like the previous chapter, it's not sad for any other reason, that all the others that follow just have a really hard time living up to what was done in this illustration. I LOVE the unique viewpoint (from inside the fireplace) and the sense of motion and drama. I'm thrilled with how all the characters turned out, their body gestures, the colors... just everything. I think the only thing I'd do differently, is make the walls a bit more tacky... but really that's a minor complaint.

Seriously, this illustration and chapter 2 from Philosopher's Stone are probably in my top 5 illustrations I've EVER done. So I hope you enjoy it too
