Well, this is surprising. I always thought that 9A wasn't as bad as people said, but after rewatching a lot of the episodes, I can safely say this is my least favorite season...so far. This season's only saving grace is that it's so short, I guarantee if it were longer, it would have ended up even worse.

Production wise, what can I say that hasn't already been said? This is the worst the animation has ever looked. The colors are neon and the whites are dark, the animation is stiff as all get out, and just in general it isn't very appealing. The exception to this is Kenny the Cat, which is actually very good visually compared to its fellow 9A brothers. The colors still look bad, though.

Hawaiian music is still dead and you're silly if you expect it to return at this point. This season really loves to spam CPM and cartoon tracks, which I am not a fan of. It's so generic and standard. Very boring compared to the musical stylings of seasons 1-5. Sound design wise, many sound effects are starting to get noticeably reused and over.

This season really is a comedy wasteland. This is the first season and probably the only season not to have a 10/10 episode. The lows of this season are also, like, REALLY bad, but thankfully not the worst. SpongeBob You're Fired is probably number two in my personal bottom 10 for the whole show, which we'll get to eventually. By this point, the show really is just a shell of its former self. No identity whatsoever. Even the good episodes feel so generic and sterile. Boy oh gee, I sure hope the next season is a return to form for the show. But surely, that would NEVER happen.
