Some people have asked for more detailed info on using this application so here it is. Please feel welcomed to ask questions, as I've tried to keep this as short as possible so some points might need elaboration.DO NOT ASK ME HOW TO LIP SYNC IN JAPANESE - please goto a Japanese website for that kind of info. Also, if you need the software, just Google "MOGG PROJECT". The software is free and really excellent quality.

Did you go to the MOGG PROJECT English site? If you got it from the Japanese site, you will only get the Japanese language version.

So use another model. You can load the VMD onto the model you want to use later.

how can i cut a little the song ?
Use a music/sound editor program like Audacity.
also how can i put this to mikumikudance??
Needs to be a Windows compliant WAV file. You can make the conversion with Audacity or a format conversion program.

Honestly, that song would not be the easiest to create lip sync for, especially for a beginner.
The thing about MMD is to start 'small' and master those steps before embarking on major projects. Biting off more than you can chew as a beginner is just a good way to set yourself up for disappointment. MMD isn't easy. It was never intended to be - it was originally a hobby for professional geek types. So start small and work your way up.

I'm not a beginner at MMD just this program TBH o-o I've used MMD for...Shoot, I used to use it for Kingdom Hearts 1 videos.
Just. This song I've been having trouble with for a while. I dunno why.
So I'm trying to find a place besides MMD to do it (Since I generally would just lip sync it right in there.)
This has helped make it easier. Still gonna take ages though- XD

MMD itself isn't a good tool for creating lip sync animations. MOGG Face and Lips is light years ahead in comparison for this type of animation.

It's hard for me to get used to but it's certainly working out well, MOGG. So thanks for having this up so I could find it :3 I already have the lip syncing halfway done.

Original Motion data indeed I mean No one had any heavy metal motion data types at all I seen 2 original motion datas and one of those was coldplay which I was impressed by and the other was done by
which is this -->Β laxianne.deviantart.com/art/MMβ¦
yeah time for more original memes XD
π: 0 β©: 1
Trackdancer In reply to Stormtali [2014-03-23 22:48:20 +0000 UTC]
There has been a few odd motions out there but they're very so-so. But Japanese motion developers and the ones from the west tend to approach motion making projects in fairly different ways. That excellent example that you sent me to illustrates this very well. Japanese motions are highly detailed and covers the whole performance - outside of Japan, the tendency is to focus on the video, so people make motions in sound-bite sized bites and re-assemble them in a video editor to make complete whole. Which is probably why there are so few motion downloads made by people outside of Japan - these just don't package well for distribution as they require serious re-assembly and that's a skill beyond the comprehension of many MMDers. And if you think about it, taking that video by Laxianne as an example again, who would want to see another version of that same video when the original is so unique anyway? A rather pointless exercise.
Yeah, so as you said it: 'time for more original memes ...".

The one I am trying to do is my take on the ultimate Heavy Metal SOng by the famous band known as Metallica and the song... MASTER OF PUPPETS!
considering I watched Through the Never and it was a badass movie...
I decided to do my take on it though may take a while kinda like that example I sent you since it did take her awhile to create... XD for now I shall get to the lip syncing of The Ripper and it represents a oc of mine who is a horsemen of shadelock but it is not him in his normal state...
Its His Darkness Known as Darklock and he is literally the ripper and yet it would be interesting to tell the tale of this ripper and how he hunts his victims

This tutorial was worth doing as it serves to answer a lot of questions about this aspect of MMD that were posed to me by different Deviants over the past few weeks. I do hope that you find this helpful and that it might answer some of the questions that you yourself may have about doing this sort of thing.
