Description
I've been looking at the modeling capabilities of the PMD Editor recently and was actually quite surprised to find that it has features very similar to a full blown 3D modeling program. It's a big pity that it lacks an English interface and no user documentation (at least in English). Still, from what little I've managed to figure out, its modeling potentials are really quite awesome. My apologies that I've categorized this as an advanced tutorial. The purpose of this documentation is really to show MMDers who already know their way around the PMD Editor what else is possible, and so it is not set up as a 'how-to' guide for beginners.
Cheers

I am certainly going to make good use of this for sure.

It's useful for small changes/simple objects. For more complex modeling, I'll stick with an external modeling program. Still, it's there if you need something done in a jiff. The modeling potential is there and is quite powerful, but very fiddly. I thought I might try building a stage using the facilities available but on closer reflection, wherein it could be done, it would be a lot easier using a dedicated modeling program.

Sounds good, in my free time I'll fiddle with it as well.

Might be easier with the English version of PMD 0.1.3.9 which I just got a hold of. Well have to mess with that to see if that is the case.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind, thank you for the recommendation.

I had to read the intro about three times because it just...didn't make sense.... PMD is generally NOT used as a 3D model creating program? But... It's the only program I have and have ever used to make stuff.... Weird....

The facilities are there if you need them, but it's not really a 3D modeling program. It lacks features to make these tools really useful as a serious modeling application. Really there for quick fixes and simpler tasks.

Not where the important commands are though ... LOL ... oh well, it is 'FREE' and I can do a lot with it even with only the parts of it that I've figured out so far.
