Description
Someone wanted to know how to make MMD accessory models that can use VMDSpectrum music-to-motion data so here it is together with a sample model. Not really a beginner's tutorial in that I have not given step-by-step instructions but most people with some familiarity with modeling for MMD may find this useful.
The tutorial also shows:
(1) How to create color changing material facials.
(2) How to combine facials to create compound facials (facials that can do more than one thing).
The download link for the accompanying model for this tutorial is in the right hand column and is packaged with a copy of the tutorial. If you need additional references, such as how to use the VMD Spectrum software or a link to download the software, please look for the pertinent information in my tutorials gallery.
Cheers.

Actually yes you can. Some people have done this already. Downside is that it can be really hard to see.

I have one more question. Couldn't I make the box outline based off of the skirt when building it?

No; if I understand your question correctly, this would just cause the skirt to derp.

This type of data and given how the available lighting effects in MMD work, don't work well for the type of use you are intending. If you want Miku's headphones to light up and/or blink use AutoLuminous. The headphones are too small for what you are intending to do.
But this kind of idea does work on larger lights. See here for an example: youtu.be/TI3wO1Hho78

Do you know how to program autoluminous? If not look for a tutorial in my gallery that shows how to turn on/off the effect with a slider. A variation of that method should work for what you're thinking.

Hey I have a question, I'm planning on making this model: cafefiles.naver.net/20150804_2… And I'd like for the skirt to have bands compatible with VMDSpectrum, The bars are divided, and I was wondering how I would be able to do that

Same principle applies but you will need facials that changes the colors of materials.

i almost understood all of this but....i dunno how to add facials T^T dammit!

What you're trying to do would be really hard if you don't know how to make facials. It takes some real modeling skill and know-how to work with advanced facials.

I probably do, but I just don't remember which one exactly I'd have to load all my Miku models and test out all their facials...
