Description
Have you ever wanted to know how to animate a Vocaloid picking up and dropping an object? Not as simple as how we do it, but not really that hard to do either. The tutorial shows one method on how this type of action can be done.Useful Links:
If you want the Robotic Arm model, it is here: fav.me/d5lcr1o
My tutorial on adding an Attachment Point is here: fav.me/d5gtppc

A newer tutorial which includes instructions on how to create an animation using the OP function, can be found here:Β learnmmd.com/http:/learnmmd.coβ¦

Use the Outer Parent function. You can 'slave' one model to another using that method.

That's a beautiful short animation you did there. Nice colors, composition and very smooth animation. Loved how your ball travelled in a parabolicΒ curve too.

Yes you canΒ and her panties too using another method, but honestly, she's far more interesting with her clothes "ON".

You attach accessory models to dummy bones so that they can be easily moved around.

very nice, but can this be used with 2 bones? like holding a long mic with both hands like in the romeo and cinderella song?

That's and old school trick, I learnt it by observing that some models that have weapons (like BRS 100% or Yoko), or any other object, have that bones, then I thought: "Why don't use these bones to make the character hold any object?". So this tutorial was really unnecessary for me, but surely will be usefull for other people. Nice work

Models having their own equipment built in are really convenient to work with - but also their limitations. Take Yoko for instance. She has several objects built in which have sliders built in, in addition to bones that makes it very easy to use her when working with her built in objects.
But what happens when you want her to hold or use something else not in her built in repertoire? Like the chalice illustrated above ... like you suggested, you use the (hidden) equipment's bone as an attachment bone in a process that ends up using the same techniques as indicated in the tutorial above right ... ?
